Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Yep, it's part of the job. BUT When the job you left nearly 2 years ago calls you at 6 AM about an "Urgent incident"? No question, they were worth leaving.
  2. Newbie, but not. I am a solid practitioner of ADHD and lost interest for a while. Back into interest again so here I am. Phoenix/Glendale AZ, old f@rt who is still old enough to know better, has the scars to prove it, but 'thinks' he's still to young to care. Until, well, I'm convinced otherwise the morning after, or sometimes the afternoon. Then it's time for a nap. I am getting into shooting Wednesday nights at the Cowtown Range Steel shoots. Soon as my 9mm PCC build is completed, aka once brown Santa delivers the last few parts. Interested in hearing from anyone in the area and since I work from home, mid-week lunch time range visits aren't out of the question. At least not once our monsoon season calms down and the fall cool-down arrives. Interests? All over the map. Maker stuff like 3d printing and all of the fun and games around it, UAV build/fly mostly with an interest in long-range and autonomous flight systems, Aerial photography and videography, shooting all manner of firearms and the mechanics and mental preparation behind it. Not very competitive in mindset or abilities -- the vision isn't what it used to be and irons are a challenge I am trying to acquire a work-around to. So, glad to be back until I get distracted and wander off again. Cheers!
  3. Youngeyes, I've learned that it pretty much strikes where it wants and as many times as it wants. You've never driven on I80 through Nebraska in the b middle of a nighttime storm, I imagine. There is a hill that has a communications tower on top that takes a beating. Every darn time I drive through there to visit family in Colorado. Without fail. In a past life as an antenna installer, I sae what it can do and none of it happened with any consistency. When you're talking about that much energy, just about any path puts up minimal resistance. No matter how you spell it.
