  1. Sorry guys. I meant I have a Target 2. Different gun then what I mentioned in before. Shows how much of a newbie I am to CZ lol . Question. Has any changed the trigger return spring on the target 2 for a Cajun gun works TRS. I know it has a lot of work done to it from cz customs. current da is 7 3/4 and sa 3 1/2. Will the TRS from cajun bring ir down another 1/2 pound?
  2. Andreas - I see you are in Atlanta. Where do you shoot mostly?
  3. Thanks for the replies guys. I have been dry firing it a lot. I know that will come a long way in getting comfortable with the pistol.
  4. Hey, Im Brian. I recently purchased a Shadow Tactical 2, modded by CZ customs for USPSA shooting. The gun is amazing and I am looking forward to my future events with it. I am new to a CZ and da/sa guns for competiton, previously shooting strikers (M&P) for about a year. Any tips to help me transition into a da/sa gun. I will be mostly shooting this gun for production. Also, are there any mods you guys recommend, although the gun is nearly perfect. Thanks.
  5. I will give you a call sorry I am responding late. Come on man. Stock springs with extended base pads. Great contribution to the thread.
  6. Thank you. I was able to take them apart and now got all to 23 rounds. I will take a look at the followers and see if any sanding is needed.
  7. I have had these base pads from some time now. I am having issues with loading more than 18 rounds in 3 of the 4 magazines. I have pulled them apart and cleaned and tried to a line the springs, to get the full capacity of the extensions. One magazine will allow 23, what the extension is meant to accomplish. I was wondering if anyone has had the same issue and what was the solution to get the springs to fall in place for the full 23 rounds. Thanks.
  8. Nice. I was looking into getting one for my shield.
  9. Any body looking for a tungsten rod. I got the email they are back in stock.
  10. Started working on them today Awesome. Anyway to put a preorder for them.
  11. Sorry I meant the tungsten guide rods
  12. Im going to have a different gunsmith work on it tomorrow. He has done several M&Ps with similar issues and has a M&P himself.
  13. Are these springs available? I see they are sold out on your site
  14. He told me no filing or stoning was done. Just slipped right in with no struggles. Ill go back and see what we can do. Ill suggest the peening and loctite.
  15. Just installed the Dawson FO front and blacked rear on my core. First off the sights are great and shot great. The sight alignment and picture are much better for me imo. There is one issue though, the gunsmith told me during the installation the sight just slide right in and need no force to install, it was too loose in his opinion. You can tough the sight and it wiggles side to side, which is definitely too loose in my opinion too. I was wondering before I called Dawson on Monday, if there are any fixes other than Loctite, which I saw used another forum to solve the issue. Thanks
  16. I would go with Dawson Precision sights. Majority of people here run them and love them. I was able to look down a barrel and shoot a few rounds with them. I liked them and ordered a blacked rear and fiber optic front for my Core.
  17. Shot my first match on Tuesday and it was a lot of fun. I want to change the sights on the pistol to a blacked out rear and fiber optic front. Has anyone tried the Dawson .405 rear sight and .320 front, which are recommended for the CORE?
  18. Lightbulb! I was told the other day, the IDPA rule, but with observing the USPSA shooters it makes sense now seeing the good shooters just dropping mags without being empty, hence never having to rack the slide or press the release. The great shooters were putting rounds where they wanted without ever reloading lol.
  19. I understand what you are getting at himurax, with my current equipment I am better suited for production. Again, next week will be my first match. The president of the club suggested for me to just try out limited to get a feel for the gun and competition, then I can move to production once I have a few matches under my belt.
  20. I wouldn't bother with limited unless you get the entire apex kit with an aluminum trigger and some basepads. My plan is to invest in a trigger soon. I want to do a few matches before changing out the trigger. Just get a feel for the match and my nerves. The trigger is a high priority. The biggest issue I have is the slide release. I gone to have to learn to reload and rack the slide back instead of hitting the release. At times I dont hit it properly for the release, which will effect my time.
  21. Went to my first match tonight to strictly observe and see the process and procedures of the match. I was not able to shoot tonight, due to me lacking equipment. I made a small purchase for a belt, mag holders and holster so I can join in next week. I think I am going to shoot in limited class. This gives me the chance to shoot with a full magazine and add things that I will not be able to do in production class. Then I can make the decision later if I want to switch down to production. I was definitely nice to talk with some people to get some pointers and see what everyone was shooting. Glocks being the majority, lol. Im definitely going to be joining in next week. I got the itch to shoot not participating tonight, so ill be hitting the range this week to work on my grip and sight alignments.
  22. Thanks for the advice. I will be checking out a local club tomorrow and will see how it goes
  23. Reloading is something Im going to learn next.
  24. Bkreutz I definitely get were you are saying. My plan was to shoot stock for some time to get the feel of the gun during events. I am just trying to learn and see what people are doing for better results. The stock trigger is not a huge issue for me but definite can improve. Im sure the more I shoot the more im going to want an easier pull to put rounds down range. As far as the sear goes it looks like the Apex and Pro are similar in design. The spring I was told could cause lighter strikes.
  25. I was able to look at the rules in production class, wow you are definitely limited in what you can do to the pistol. Im glad I can use the Apex Comp kit. It was recommended to me on the Pro series, you should use all the springs from the kit but do not install the hard sear, usb and striker spring. Also the stock pro sear, trigger bar and striker should be polished in the designate areas. This would be giving me 3# to sub3# trigger pulls. I know this is like beating a dead horse but does this sound about correct?
