Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thanks guys. I'll just HTFU and learn to manage the recoil. So 28" M2 Comfortech and a +9 mag extension is the way to go to give you 12 + 1, correct?
  2. Thanks Bullitt, I like the 3GN sticker. How strong is the Nordic Mag Extension? Can you dump the shotgun hard on the mag extension without problems? The last thing I want to do is to have to worry about placing it nicely into the dump drum.
  3. I'm not a tiny guy, so I am not worried about what it will do to me, I am worried about what it will do to my shooting. The only negative feedback I have been able to find about the M2's are that they are llighter than the Versamax, 1301 etc. and have more recoil. And so I was wondering if it is common practise for people to weigh down M2's or any other semi auto SG's for 3 gun purposes.
  4. Thanks Fishsticks I never saw that. Pat: Not a bad point re: the inertia system, thanks! Do guys do it in 3 gun or is it generally a trap/skeet thing? I also imagine that adding a (Nordic) +9 mag extension will stabilise the front sight a bit? 1chota: I have tried a Versamax and I preferred the M2. It's a great shotgun and most of the guys I shoot with run them, the M2 just feels better to me.
  5. I am just bumping this so I can follow this thread. (It doesn't seem to work if you edit a post?)
  6. Hi Folks, Anyone got any photo's of a 28" M2 with either a +8 or +9 extension? I am not sure which to go for and can't find photos anywhere. Thanks
  7. Since M2's are known for being light, are barrel weights generally used on M2's for 3 gun or is it more a clay/trap thing? Thanks
  8. Hi Folks, I'm new here, so please excuse me if I am asking something that has been covered before. (This seems to be the best/most relevant thread.) I'm looking to do the switch from a pump to a semi shotgun. I have done my research and I have decided to go M2. The only length M2 available in my area for the forseeable future is a 28". I intend to put a +9 Nordic mag extension on it (Regardless of barrel length.) which should take it just short of the end of the 28" barrel? My only concern is this: Will a front sight on the front of a longer barrel not move around a lot more than on a shorter barrel? Or does the same principle as a longer sight radius on a handgun apply meaning that if you are on target with a longer shotgun barrel/sight combo, you are "more" accurate than with a shorter barrel/sight distance from the eyes? The chances of a 26" or 24" being available in my area in the next 6 months is unlikely. Do I go with the 28"? Or do I wait? (The only other M2 available at the moment is a 26" Practical M2 with Ghost Sights. I like the tactical look, but it's not ideal for 3 gun.) Any and all advice and thoughts are appreciated. Thanks, Marc
