  1. Thanks, Brian! I was thinking of trying that. I am going to get some. People are raving about it and it’s inexpensive compared to VV.
  2. I ended up using Silhouette. I figured I would try it because I used it in my 9 mm until it became scarce. Now it is available. But I think the 3n37 is a great idea......... I don't know why I never thought of that........:-(
  3. Another question on the battery pack. It says clearly on it do not overcharge. Does anyone have e any idea how long you are supposed to charge it; 12 hours seem reasonable???
  4. I am looking for a comparable powder to vv3n38 since it is virtually impossible to get right now in the states. Anyone have any suggestions???
  5. Having a hard time getting VV 3n38 in the United States. It is my usual powder of choice for my 38 SuperComp major load. What is everyone else using? What is comparable, as clean and provides as much gas and will fit in the case and leave a little space? I know I’m asking a lot!
  6. I was afraid of that. I cleaning the comp but still doing the same after rapid fire..... Ugh! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I'm shooting a 38 super comp; great gun maker and I have 55,000 rounds through the gun. When it gets hot from rapid fire, it is key holing. Do you guys think my barrel is shot?? I'm shooting Hornady HAPs .... Good bullet; straight wall case so crimp isn't an issue. My load has been the same for all 55,000 rounds.
  8. Thanks, Guys! I am going to try those double taps taking my finger completely off the trigger between and I will try turning the dot off and shooting into the barm. I have done the shooting into the berm before and it did seem fast as ***! I am going to go back to that and the Ben Stoeger drill at 7, 12 and 15 feet. Let me know if anyone has any other suggestions. The gun will do it. It's definitely me. It's not the ammo and not the gun; 170 PF 38 super comp.
  9. Rnlinebacker, Yes, the dot does leave the glass. Tighter grip??? And I like the idea of "not how fast you pull the trigger, but how quickly you release it." I'm going to the range today and I am going to concentrate on that a little more than the actual trigger pull. I find I am faster if I have just the very tip of my finger on the trigger.
  10. Bill Drills.......... Today: 1.12 draw, .22,.25, .23, .24, 22 1.39 reload .22, .19, .22, .23, .23, .24. That's pretty average; sometimes I get the draw down to 1. or even less. Sometimes I get splits around .25, but never over that and usually around .23, .22. I CANNOT seem to get those lightening splits you guys get no matter how hard I try. I am not sure what else I can do. Do you have any suggestions?
  11. Does anyone have any practice drills other than Bill Drills to decrease split times or any tips in that regard??
  12. Has anyone ever experienced misfeeds with perfect ammo on only the last two to four rounds left in the bottom of an Infinity mag with an Infinity gun?? Brand-new mags and springs and followers...... about 1,000 rounds through each at the most. There are 12 mags all together. Please do not respond that it has anything to do with the ammo.......... Just had the extractor tuned and it appears to be working properly. I think it's the mags. It does it with both Gram followers and springs and Infinity followers and springs and it is very hit and miss. The only constant is that it is always at the bottom of the mag. I have shot two large matches recently and I feel like I'm shooting carry optics and having to count and use only 21 or 23....24 of the bullets in the mag for it to function reliably.
  13. I didn't see any responses to the extended mag release question............ Does anyone know of one for a JP GMR-13????
  14. I'm not sure if it's a PT grip or not. It's in Infinity Firearm. That is very interesting, though, that you had the least engagement with the 155 mm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Has anyone had problems with these 155 mm MBX mags flying out of the magwell during firing of the gun? AND NO, I am not pushing the mag release! We have had three different people try it and have it on video. Even shooting strong hand only where you are no where near the mag release, the mag drops out of the magwell about three rounds into the course of fire. I have other 170 mm MBX mags and 140 mm MBX mags and there is absolutely no problem; flawless performance. The mags snap into place and you CANNOT pull them out with force once in place, yet when you shoot the gun they come flying out of the maxwell. Any ideas??? I didn't want to mess with them too much in case they need to be returned to MBX.
  16. I have used Silhoutte powder for nine major, and it works fine. In fact, it was one of my favorite powders until I started using VV3n37.
  17. I just purchased a Sentinel Plate and magazine post from Present Arms, Inc. Great product, affordably priced. I was in a friend of mine's loading room and saw his gun propped up on this stand with a base. It holds the gun perfectly still and in place for you to clean, make repairs, oil it. Best part is the company is awesome to deal with and the owner is a vet. Gotta check them out. They have a version for ARs and rifles too. The owner said he would give all USPSA members a 10% discount. All you have to do is type in the code USPSA10. CHECK THEM OUT.......BTW they are not friends of mine, nor have I ever met the owner, just a good experience and product I thought I should share. They are at presentarmsinc.com.
  18. I have a CK Arms Blackout 2011 and own MBX mags and have never had an issue with them. Reach out to Bobby at CK Arms and he will make things right, I guarantee it! Great company to deal with in my experience.
  19. Has anyone had any experience with cleaning nickel-plated brass with stainless steel media?? Will the media remove the nickel plating quicker than the dry media??
  20. What main spring and recoil spring weights are you currently using for major and are you planning to change them and to what??
  21. I'm shooting 38 super comp at 174 PF. I want to shoot minor for Steel Challenge (no advantage to shooting major) and I do not want to switch out the barrels and the extractor to a 9mm and don't want to shoot my 9mm. I am really trying to stick with shooting the same gun and ammo, but would like a lighter load for these purposes only. I'm shooting VV 3n38, 9.7 gr, a 125 gr bullet and I have a 9 lb recoil spring. If I take the powder down to get the PF to 125-130 and change the recoil spring, how do you think it will work, feel?? Has anyone tried minor in a 38 super comp pistol??
  22. Okay, guys, the verdict is in. I shot over a thousand rounds through my Infinity 38 super comp seamlessly this week. I LOVE IT!! It was definitely ME that was the problem in not tuning those mags and making sure to keep them clean and working properly, straightening out the springs after being dropped, etc, The gun is performing flawlessly. I am SOOO GLAD I bought it. I've never spent that kind of money on a gun before, but it was well worth every penny!! Loving IT!! SOPHIA

  24. Now that I have a minute to take a breath and I am finally warm and dry, I would really like to thank you all for your input once again. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have all you folks with experience out there to pass things by at times. Now as to my problem, I do believe it is how I am handling the mags after having had to drop one during a stage. Often times on mandatory reloads I will have many bullets in my mag rather than those I need/or may need and I drop the mag, pick it up straighten the few on top, smack the back of the mag and refill it and use it on the next stage......... halfway through the stage, boom..... or more accurately, no boom; a double feed of two live bullets.\ I took my calipers out this evening when I got home and compared the lips on the different mags and I am going to go out and do some testing WHEN IT WARMS UP AND STOPS RAINING!!!! I am starting to believe that may never happen here in Pittsburgh, though. I will post what the verdict is when I have one. Thanks Again, All!!
