Not insulting, sorry if it came out that way. It's missing text. Over generalization about triggers is wrong. Every person who shoots has a different take on triggers. A friend of mine is a multi discipline world champion in IDPA, Steel challenge, USPSA, IPSC and he loves the curved triggers and does not care for the flat triggers that I install on my comp CZ's. He mainly shoots 1911-2011 pistols that have flat triggers. I personally love flat triggers in my CZ's. It keeps my from shooting low. To each his own....... I convert all my CZ's to single action because I shoot better with single action, tuned and a tad of sear work. I shoot about 1500 rounds a week, my autodrive 1050 works overtime. Take care and realize that everybody has different results with their firearms. Stay safe and reload

SA only is a huge advantage. Tuning the trigger for optimum pull, pre travel and over travel is a huge advantage.
  4. 95 grain is mostly used in steel challenge. The amount of gas created is negligible. It "works" kind of but not to the extent that shooting 9mm major or 38 sc shooters are accustomed to.

    57 year old beauty.
  6. I know.......I have tons of fun. Don't really care about classifiers or winning. I love the sport and the people who I shoot with
  7. I couple reasons I shoot MBX, reliable, drop free, 170mm i can load 29 in the mag. The STI mags I used to run needed to be tuned right out of the box, drop free was sketchy. BUT...I shoot with guys who's STI mags work great. Mine did not, then again I dumped the piece of junk STI after it suffered two broken slides and cracked comps. There is a reason STI does not build competition guns anymore. My Venom Customs open gun runs flawless and has twice the rounds down the pipe as my STI did. BTW...I shoot about 1000 to 1500 rounds a week
  8. You are right....very little. Shooting minor in SC comps are mostly for show.
  9. MBX mags if you are shooting a 2011, if you don't shoot MBX.....you will very soon. They are worth every penny. You can't beat them.
  10. Comps work on gas, does the 45 acp have enough gas....9mm minor does not have enough gas, so installing a comp on it is useless.
  11. Over travel screw.......you're welcome
  12. Lincoln welding shield spray after you clean the comp. Helps out.
  13. Davinci Machining has super high quality PCC's. I hove one of the first ones and it is amazing. Have about 25k down the pipe and it runs great. Balance is perfect. The quality of the parts Davinci machines is perfect. Give one a try you will not be sorry.
  14. Yes it is reciprocating. I have one of the first ones made. Probably 30K plus rounds through it and it is running strong. I know the owner/engineer who designed the PCC. Pretty smart guy.

  16. Seek out a Davinci. They are built to exacting specs. No corners cut. A friend of mine was given a Lead Star PCC. It malfunctioned so much he actually gave it back and bought a Davinci.
  17. Update on my Venom Customs. I have been running my gun hard. Shooting major and minor loads, both shoot perfectly. Not one malfunction. I shoot up to 6 matches per week. (probable 4-5000 rounds since I took delivery) USPSA and Action Steel, plus a little training. I would buy another one in a heart beat If Don wasn't so busy and I had the money. Thanks Don! You build a great pistola!
  18. I do not disagree with that statement.
  19. I need one of those hats!
  20. Acme bullets are the best. The always send extra in the bags. SNS will short you on the count. Ordered 3k from them some time ago, noticed they were 10% short. Sent several emails and they ignored them until I posted a review then the owner called me a bitched at me like it was my fault they cannot count. Rude, arrogant. Never made the order right. Avoid like the plague.
