Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I've been going back on fourth on what to do with my M&P 5" Pro. I have changed out the front sight one time to adjust the POI but still am not getting the results I want. It's a mental thing now because I go into matches wondering if I am zeroed properly. At first I was hesitant to go with an adjustable rear sight, but every thread that I read about the Dawson adjustable rear is very positive. I think I'm just going to go for it, Dawson blacked out adjustable rear with a 0.10" x .285 FO front is on its way!
  2. Curious about this statement... I have a 550 and have never heard of the lock ring underneath the tool head instead of on top. Both lee and dillon dies and have been using the dillon sizing die in my 550. I have read that the dillon die does not size quite as far down the case as the lee die does and have been experiencing about 2 rounds per 100 that won't gauge in my wilson case gauge. I was considering switching to the lee sizing die with the dillon lock ring thinking this might help with the problem. Like I said, just curious about the details of why putting the lock ring on the underside of the tool head is beneficial.
  3. The Storm Lake website lists dealers by state. If none of them have the barrels available then I don't know either. I am less interested in them if I can't use one for production. For almost $300 thats halfway to another gun that I could buy for use with a suppressor. More guns > Fewer guns
  4. Hello all, I had a quick question about an aftermarket barrel for my M&P 9 Pro. I have been looking at Storm Lake barrels and was wondering about the implications of running their 5.71" barrel in my production gun. I would like to have a threaded barrel for future suppressor use but can't find a guideline on whether or not this barrel would be production legal. Also, for those who have experience with aftermarket barrels, what benefits/improvements have you seen in accuracy?
  5. How do you use it? I take the used sheet and rub down my powder hopper, powder funnel and dies like I'm just using a rag to wipe it down. I do this as part of my clean up procedures after loading on my 550. Make sure to use a used dryer sheet. I used one of my wifes fancy scented dryer sheets before it had been run with a load through the dryer and it left a residue on everything.
  6. Hey everybody, New guy here, I have shot 4-5 local USPSA matches over the past 6 months and am loving the game! Have been lurking since before my first match but wanted to join so I can participate in what I have found to be a very helpful and genuine community of shooters. Look forward to learning from all the collective wisdom! Thank you
