  1. Update on the ported barrel. I have found that my normal loads work better than any lighter bullet combo. My load is a 135blue over 3.5 titegroup @1.145. Gun is supper soft and flat.
  2. Update I tried the 6.2 of HS6 under a 115 grain plated bullet and it didn't make power factor 124ish PF . It shot nice but nothing special . Then I bumped the load up to 6.7 and it made 130ish PF . Still it didn't seem like anything special . I also tried the normal load of 3.4TG under a 135gr bullet thinking it would loose FPS. Well surprisingly it didn't was still the same 130ish PF. Then I tried 5.6 of AutoComp under a 115 133PF and this is the way .The gun settled down and acted like a ported gun should act like. I will load several hundred and shoot The Battle of The Berms this weekend should be a great level 2 match. Ill chime back in and let ya know how it worked out next week
  3. I don’t mind sharing a bit. Going to start with the work up this weekend. The gun was awesome with 135 blues over 3.4 of titegroup @1.145. 129pf. If they wouldn’t have changed the rules I would be perfectly happy shooting that load. But since they allow ports and I’m a mid level master shooter. I’m going to see if I can get a little more of an edge on the shooter thst are not running a ported barrel.
  4. I know right lol. I started with IDPA 9 years ago and also found that uspsa was a way better sport. Now that they have changed the rules it’s kinda fun again. Also now that we have LO in Uspsa I can shoot something besides open if I feel like it. Iron sights are just getting hard to see anymore. Hopefully my dot stays close between the 2 barrels
  5. Nice I have a few pounds of that tooo. I usually shoot open with aa7 so I know the major loads. Just new to the ported stuff. Thank you for your assistance
  6. Well I sent my gun to MPA and had them put a Ported Barrel in it. Now I need a starting load to make the ports work. With my normal barrel, I run a 135 gr. bullet and a fast powder . I would like to try slower powder with a lighter bullet since IDPA doesn’t have a bullet weight floor. Has anybody tried this before?
  7. I have the new IDPA model. Black with blue small parts. The gun is built very well. Fit and Finish is spot on. I have prob 1000 rounds on it since august and not 1 malfunction. I’ve tried 147’s and 124 in it and it seems to like the 124 better for faster less bouncy follow up as shots. They now have a more aggressive texture for their grips called A3 texture. My updated grip should be here next week. The one that is on it is fine but I like DNA takers
  8. Don’t forget carne customs , akai customs guns ,and atlas.
  9. Prob the best gun for the money. if your shooting limited you’ll want a .40 for major scoring. https://masterpiecearms.com/shop/mpa-ds40-tt-comp-pistol/
  10. Thanks Wayne ill look you up. Were just a couple squads away #101
  11. I see no FTF. I did see him miss a reload on the first attempt and then unload show clear . The gun looks like its running well. All the brass is ejecting fine and in the same position. What more could you ask for . No way is this a train wreck. Its a bunch of shooters having fun and testing skill .
  12. https://www.store.chamberscustom.com/products/chambers-custom-rdms-plate I have this system on my marauder and love it.
  13. I hoping I’ll be able to try one at uspsa nationals in oct. I’m very interested to see how it shoots compared to mine now
  14. Logically you think they would put optic with optic and irons with irons . But when has USPSA ever had any logic
  15. With an aftec you'll have to radius the lower corner a bit in order to help the round slide under . Go very slow and small till the round will chamber when your working the slide by hand. the aftec tension will always be a little tighter than a normal extractor
  16. This is the proper flashlight for a competition gun . Not so much for self defense. You'll probably need a brass Magwell to help offset the weight. https://benstoegerproshop.com/brass-weapon-mounted-light-by-lok-grips/
  17. With such a light slide it probably helps this gun to have a little weight hanging off the front
  18. Welcome Both those guns are great guns
  19. Been shooting this swamp fox liberty fo about a year now and zero problems. Close to 5000rds and 1 drop on the floor when cleaning and no lost zero.
  20. Where In the world can you find SWMP now days ? I can find aa7 in a few places but shooter world is out of stock every where
  21. Any gunsmith could fit a barrel and comp to this gun.
  22. No smacking involved. Just used the crescent as leverage lol
  23. May not be the right way to do it but while it was on the gun I took a crescent wrench and slowly started bending it up. Worked for me but your mileage may vary if you try this.
