Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. I need to order springs and followers for my MBX 141.25mm .40 mags. I am not sure which Gen I have…. The Gen 1 fits in the 1 or 2’s, but the 2’s only fit in the 1’s. Any help would be appreciated. I watched MBX’s video on their website, but I am still not positive. Here are some pics of one.

  3. I was having lots of problems with my double alph holster. It would not release smoothly. I tried changing the position etc, but I was still having issues. I recently changed to the Everglades race holster and it is much smoother and I like the holster adjustments better. Once you set it up it does not move. With my double alpha I would always have to keep tightening it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Perfect. That’s what I was looking for. At that load do you lose any accuracy? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  8. Guys, thanks for the help on a starting point for a load with N320, 180gr coated heads, loaded to 1.180 OAL. 4.7gr gave me 175 PF. My question is, if I wanted a lighter load, not too much lighter, how do I know what OAL to load to? I know I could use less powder, but would I shorten the OAL also? And to what proportion? I’m not trying to get a “really light” 40 load and change springs etc. I am still new to reloading and any help would be greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. I just keep reloading until I see a split in the case. I check for splits while drying the brass and give a quick look over while case gaguing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I live in Stamford. Not too much USPSA in the state. We have a group of us that shoot local steel and USAPSA matches at a private club and we travel out of state to some other ones. Usually to Bradford in Rhode Island or LIPSA in Ny. PM me for more info. I would be happy to talk.
  11. Great. Thanks for the help! Now I have my starting point. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Looking for some advice. I am switching powders from WST to N320. I have an Atlas Nemesis with 5.0” kkm bull barrel in .40. I am relatively new to reloading and have never worked up my own load before. My friend had given me his WST load when I started reloading. After doing some research, it seems the average major load is between 4.6gr -4.9gr with a 180 grain bullet loaded to OAL of 1.18. I want to continue to use 180gr coated bullets and I want to keep the OAL at 1.18. My question is, what should my starting load be? I saw in the Vihtavuori website they said to start with 3.6gr, but that was at an OAL of 1.126. Any help would be appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. These are nice. Thank you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Thank you for the great info. The duration of the storage would be very short. I was looking for something where I could have my guns locked up while stopping at a restaurant to eat on the way home from the range etc. I am certainly not looking to store them overnight or long-term. You are also right, out of all the laws that infringe on the second amendment, this bothers me the least too. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
