  1. It sounds like they are “skidding” down the barrel with some blow by going on. If your into casting you can melt them down. If not you can powder coat them it’s cheap. but all that cost money. If you have time on your hands you can paper patch, it’s basically free and kinda cool. But it’s usually done for old rifle rounds.
  2. The bullets seem a little small to me given your bore size. I had leading when I started casting 9 mm. For me the leading happened at the throat and a slower powder like Longshot took care of it.
  3. Lossen your shot bottle a bit. It’s good for MEC bottles to have a little rattle. Next check your drop tube. MEC’s aren’t built to high tolerances and a lot of the tubes will have burrs. So debur and wax if necessary. Next look at your shot. Good shot is lightly and evenly coated with graphite. Lightly coated. There is some really cheap shot that isn’t coated. 7 1/2 shot is fine and should rarely if ever bridge.
  4. I bought an old Mec 650 for $75 dollars a few months ago. Nice upgrade from a single stage MEC 600. I shoot 100-150 12 gauge shells most weeks. I like it as a hobby. To save money I use reclaimed shot. I load for $3.75 a box and it's good to roughly 23 yards. Further then that the shot column gets patchy. I still hit clays at forty or more, but they don't turn to dust, they just break. I don't know what 3 gun guys shoot, but if your loading buckshot you can save a small fortune. Look for an old MEC 600 or if your really lucky Posness Warren Duo 375 and pick yourself up a lee mold for .310" shot and a Lee 20 pound pot and your in business. Forget the guy's name, but there are several videos about reloading buckshot on YouTube.
  5. I got the Frankford Tumbler and it does a great job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
