  1. 2011 refers to the design of the pistol. It means the frame and grip are separate parts. 1911 is a solid one piece frame. So the Staccato C is a single stack 2011 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Properly tuned and tested 1911 of almost any type will be reliable. Get what you can afford and run the hell out of it. Use quality ammo and magazines.
  3. I compete with STI DVC 3-Gun and DVC Limited. My EDC pistol is the STI Staccato C. 3.9" 9mm single stack 2011. Same basic dimensions as a G19, slimmer grip and 8+1 capacity. Weighs in at 25oz empty.
  4. The product line was slimmed down due to several factors. There was multiple models that were very similar to one another, many which did not sell well. Also to streamline processes, reduce the lead times and increase quality.
  5. True, the Edge has been discontinued. There is a replacement model coming soon. Same price point.
  6. Hmm ... do you happen to have any pictures of these or can you get some. They have a lifetime warranty and I would be happy to help the out getting those issues corrected.
  7. ...... except that most STIs don't run. So.... Interesting statement. And what is this based on?
  8. Good Morning Eliboudreaux , The DVC Steel is designed to run as a Minor power factor pistol. Lighter and shorter slide as well as a smaller comp. You can run Major power factor through it but I would advise putting in a heavier recoil spring to lessen the chance of damaging the pistol. My best advice would be to get a DVC Open which is designed for Major power factor if that is what you plan to shoot the most. Let me know if you would like to look at purchasing one and I can help you out on pricing.
  9. That’s right, I misspoke about the Trojan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. The Spartan and Trojan models were something that was not actually manufactured by STI (made on subcontract out of the Philippines). But they put their name on them so they own it. I would invite anybody with doubts to check out the current line. With the new management and staff in place, quality control has been a main focus for the company. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hi Andy, sorry to hear you are not happy with STI. What did you have that they would not warranty?
  12. Yes for the 140mm tubes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. 18 in .40 and 21 in 9mm for the 140mm tubes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
