Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Inspect the sides of your trigger for indications of wear. If you can't see it without disassemble the next time you strip the pistol take note of which side you have more wear on. This should tell if your pull is in fact straight back. I am working on this myself and have noticed heavier wear on the left side, I'm a righty too. If you are bending your knuckle I can see it pushing left as your finger wants to curl that way. Play with finger placement on the trigger and strong hand grip rolling your hand in towards your left, over the center line of the bore getting more palm on the back strap. And maybe exaggerate moving your pull in the opposite direction(right) to see how this effects things.
  2. Hi! Several web searches lead me here. The already helpful knowledge along with my first read through Brian's book and I felt obligated to join and contribute. A little over a year ago standing at the firing line weekly socking holes in paper was growing stale, not to discount shooting groups but something was missing. Around February 2014 I headed to a local steel challenge match where in seconds shooting as I knew it changed forever. All the ingredients were there, myself, a trigger and sights, but no longer a solitary target in mostly perfect conditions, with unlimited time to engage it, in whatever text book manner I thought knew up to that point. By July in search of more thrills I joined USPSA and shot my first pistol match in limited. Towards the end of last and early into this year ventured further with some 3gun. So far I've shot Lim. and L10 with my G17 but itching to shoot some revolver this year. I don't have any that would be very competitive so I will most likely pick up a recently spotted 929 or 627, maybe even a 625 for more challenging stage break downs. Thanks for reading, Keric A86701
