  1. I recently switched from Missouri and Bayou to Summit. More accurate than the others, I’ve used Missouri for years but last several orders from them (147 gr FP) have had lots of irregularities on the bases. Ordered a pack of 500 from Summit and was very impressed with the quality and consistency of the bullets and coating. Ran them through an S2 and TSO from a rest at 20 yds. Better accuracy, fliers disappeared with the Summit bullets. Only difference in loads were the bullet manufacturers. Impressed enough to order 2 cases…..14% off and shipping included in price.
  2. .356 coated FP Grooveless from Missouri Bullet.
  3. 3.2 gr VV N320 with a 147 gr TC from Missouri Bullet @1.120”OAL fits in all my CZ’s and has been very accurate. Makes 130 PF in my S2. Have used this load for years.
  4. That’s good info……..hmmmmmm……now I’ve got some thinking to do…..so you can get 24 with the Floyd’s base pads and rune spring and follower and that’s reloadable? I’ve always used Grams springs and followers in the past…..
  5. Thanks Nick, I appreciate the info, think I’m going with the Armory Craft Magwell, after speaking with them. They’re factory magwells from CZ that they get in periodically, they’re supposed to work with factory base plates (which I have a bunch of) and sounds like the Henning’s should work also……basic black is the only color they have usually (although they are out right now…….I’ll post the results after I get one. Thanks again for your input .
  6. Interesting…….useful information, thanks! These are about 2 years old…..will check with Henning as I like their extended base pads…….curious about the Armory Craft Magwell also and if it would work with the standard Mec-Gar +2 pads……thanks again.
  7. My extended Henning base pads don’t…..played with slightly sliding the Lok magwell slightly back and forth to see if I could hit a clearance “sweet spot”……nothing worked. Base pads are probably 1.5 to two years old at most.
  8. Absolutely worth it to reload shotgun shells…….economically, and even more, to be in control of your own ammo supply. Yes it will require some time and expense but well worth it after you’re set. A group of us “mine” shot off the hillside at one of the clubs I belong to in the spring. We have a stand we built for a series of framed screens (progressively small screen size) that screens all the dirt out leaving just the shot. Ideal conditions for this are in the spring before any green stuff is up, dry conditions and if it’s windy too then that’s a bonus…..in about an hour I got almost a full 5 gal bucket of clean reclaimed shot……lol…..had to put into several smaller buckets to transport inside the house. Shot was totally free….then it’s REALLY worth it to reload. I’ve watched a lot of guys shoot 25 at skeet using reclaimed shot…..for skeet it makes no difference.
  9. Ditto the above solutions….. I used an emery board and removed just a bit off the front of the grams follower, checked clearance and gave it just a few more strokes and it’s been flawless since. I think when they plate the mag tubes it adds just enough thickness to be an issue.
  10. I read earlier in this thread where someone said that the magwell made by Lok Grips will work with Henning basepads, so I got one, put it on this morning and my Henning basepads will not work with it. Presently sanding some off of the black plastic basepads that come on the blue follower Mec-Gar mags (they don’t fit either)…..lol….have enough of those that I can experiment with.
  11. Curious about your last post, I have Henning +4/5 basepads and a bunch of Mec Gar mags with the blue followers. So, how did the Magwell from Floyd’s Custom work out with Henning +4/5 basepads (I’m assuming that’s what you mean by Original Henning base pads)? How about with the Mec gar base pads with the blue follower? Armory Craft is out of all colors for their magwells right now…… Thanks for the info!
  12. Shadow 2 with 5MOA SRO. I zero at 25 yds off of a bench for point of impact at top of dot.
  13. Exactly…….maybe Henning will come out with one.
  14. No problem in my Hornady AP; like others have said, use a smaller diameter decapping pin or a shouldered decapping pin (what I do). I can tell when I hit a piece of Norma brass but it goes through fine and primes fine. Saves the trouble of sorting them out.
  15. Wondering the same thing myself, I’ve got Henning extended base pads in my Mecgar S2 mags.
  16. I’ve run out of ELEVATION adjustment on an SRO mounted on an EGW dovetail plate, groups still slightly low…..do you know if the shims are reversible? The descriptions I read sounds like they will LOWER POI (could just be how it’s worded )I need to raise it some more……..any input from experience would be great Thanks!
  17. Great info….. I’m going to look for this!
  18. Understood. My experience with CZC’s lead times (and a couple other people I’ve known) is that whatever they tell you is worst case scenario and almost never that long. I was told about the same as you and it was back several weeks quicker than that.
  19. I turn my SRO on at the beginning of Match/league/practice adjust if needed and leave it until the end then turn it off when I bag the pistol. Change battery once/season (Minnesota….lol…so 5-6 month season).
  20. Also @ntxboi, you are going through at least twice what I’m working through, you had BOTH knees done. You WILL get through it man !!
  21. Lol……. Funny, but this is true! Also, you can kneel again, my surgeon said that kneeling is up to you, it will involve some discomfort, read that pain), and you have to work up to it but it’s completely doable. At 2 months into it I can kneel on carpeted floors. Don’t give up keep going.
  22. I started in Production, then after a few seasons moved to Limited (major), stayed there until last season, then shot CO with an S2. Thoroughly enjoyed all 3 divisions….on the fence about possibly going back to Limited this season ……it’s all good !
  23. If you haven’t listened to it, The Paracast Podcast had YeeMin on yesterday (2-19-23), part of the discussion included his thoughts on LO in the last BOD meeting. Discussion of that starts at about 58:45 and then again at 1:19:30. Here’s the link https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-paracast/id940994458?i=1000600470338
  24. I’ve used many thousand CCI’s and Federal’s (I know they’re softer) in the last several decades (mostly on prairie dogs and coyotes) and never had a slam fire. Like frankge said above, a there’s a very slight dimple on last unfired round in the chamber. Just make sure you don’t have any high primers.
