Finish is great. I toss mine in buckets and wooden boxes, bang it against all kinds of s#!t in 3 gun, no issues.

Where did you get this from?  If you're gonna quote something I said, don't change it to something I never posted.

Good to know from an owner/user. What model/caliber do you own? Finish?

My Honcho is in 9mm major for open and. 40 in limited. Black DLC finish. Absolutely love it.  I did have a case separation that damaged the breach block in 9mm.   I sent the pistol back and they replaced any damaged parts and went through the gun free of charge.  Great service in my opinion.

  3. Wow, lots of people taking a big dump on PT.
I’ve had a very good experience with PT.  My Honcho runs great, is accurate, and looks perfect.   The support from PT has been great also.
I haven’t had any issues with the locking block.  I have about 5k 9mm major through mine so far.
I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase one of their other models.

Got my timer today, was supposed to be here 12/23 but I didn’t hold out much hope with the holidays and winter storms. Anyway it made it today in good shape because it was packaged really well and what little I’ve messed with it, it seems like a pretty awesome unit.

👍🏼. I haven’t heard anything yet. I sent an email before Christmas just wondering if he had any update.  Never received a reply.   Not a biggie just curious and excited about the timer. lol

  5. rddvet, they are ready to go out of the box.  Just put in a battery.  They have several different mode setting along with the volume adjustment. I’m still trying to find the perfect setting. Around open guns I was using mode 2 but all other times just mode 1. It’s very easy to change between modes.
What I like best besides the perfect fit is the quality of the sound. Your hearing is the same when wearing these. Peoples voices sound the same. Today was my second time wearing these at a match and I’m still 100% happy with my purchase!

Do these have an on/off switch or do you remove the battery to turn them off? Most of the in the ear electronic devices seem not to have an on/off switch. The only ones I think have a power switch are the ones made by Pro Ears.

These do turn off. Line the two dots up (turn all the way down) and they’re off. Take a small battery that’s supposed to be good for 96 hrs?

  7.  I was searching around BE looking for some feedback on Trophy Ear ear protection but couldn't find anything.  I saw their ad in USPSA mag and looked into them.  I was a little weary about spending that kind of coin on a product that I couldn't find many reviews about.  I got ahold of them and decided to get a pair of the Flexx Pro model.  I've tried quite a few other ear pro..  Electronic muffs, foamy plugs, 3M Peltor in ear yada yada.. Could never find the prefect fit.

I have to say that the customer service was great from the first contact!  I was sent the kit to make the impressions of my ears. Shortly after I sent them back, I received the finished product.  Honestly, I was blown away! From the moment I put them in my ear until I took them out after a 8 stage match. The fit and sound is perfect!  As if I wasn't wearing any ear pro at all. I never noticed loud shots, could hear as normal but nothing was loud.

I'm not sponsored or compensated whatsoever. I just want to let someone else know about my experience with Trophy Ear that might be in the same position I was in.

    Hope someone finds this helpful,

    TK
