Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I used to own the super x3 the Flannigan model. (I am sure I did not spell that right)... anyways... It was so nice I did not want to take the dremmel to it to open up the port. I sold it, bought a Remington versamax and saw action from the good ole Dremmel
  2. min pf is 125. Anything below that, usually comes from reloads. And those in turn have a tough time knocking down steel. So one way to discouraged anyone shooting below pf in production is to ensure your steel popper are calibrated correctly.
  3. I love DQs... Here my good sir. We no longer trust thee for this match. Having demonstrated unsafe gun handling thou no longer competeth.... there now we are safe. .... Next Match... Hi my good sir. Welcome. Glad to have you back. ... "Are you ready, Stand By...." Beep...
  4. I just saw in hot shots TV, JM getting DQ'd for dropping his shotgun in the barrel without engaging the safety. He was having a heck of a match, one mistake and he was done. I don't think this happened recently, but it goes to show anyone can have a bad day.
  5. do you mind sharing or pm'ing your load for the short colt. Also isn't ICORE minimum PF 125? Am I mistaken?
  6. btw,,, I opened up the half moon cuts in my shell latch and bent it backwards. Kept both springs in. I also opened up the loading port even more and now my versamax is a dream to quad load in a hurry. thank you all for the info provided here.
  7. Removing the small inner springs makes loading the shells harder. Shell Latch is aided by that smaller spring. But this is easy to test.. Take it out, put it back together and report back. If it is not harder to get passed it... then my Versamax competition tactical is unique in that respect. There was another thread here on Enos, where it was advised against it. I wanted to test for myself and I did. They were right in my case. Also by your own admission you have two trigger groups. One works flawlessly and the other does not. Wouldn't it stand to logic that there is something wrong with the one trigger group unrelated to the latch inner spring... just saying.
  8. I developed the above load because I wanted to shoot my beretta 96 in both production and limited 10 major. Two divisions one pistol... hope it helps. I am not even going to tell you to start at 10% below... that is really safe to load as is. But use common sense and be careful... use at your own risk,,,
  9. 3.5 Grains of TiteGroup 180 Gr MG RFN Federal Small Pistol Primer oal 1.15 Average PF -> 133 Out of a full size beretta 96
  10. Sounds to me the issue is with your new lifter. Something is not right.
  11. Don't remove the inner spring. It will make loading the shells harder to do.
  12. Going over 128 PF when all you need is 125 is a moot point. No?
  13. Have you heard of the long colt? Scrap that, oh how about short colt..?. All can get you to the 125 PF and all you have to do is buy brass and dies... Don't do it!
  14. I just shoot and hope the gun is pointing where I am looking. I dry fire a lot, but I am just a b shooter
  15. I already cut it. I appreciate the advise. If in time it breaks then I will try to order a replacement part.
