  1. Thanks @ChuckS ... I had to hunt a little, but I found it. Rule 5.1.8 governs.
  2. Under "Competition" rules (i.e., handgun) there is no mention of bipods. Therefore, I don't see how anyone could say no. (Potentially an oversight ... Who knows.) Under Multigun rules a PCC can only have a bipod in Open division.
  3. Yea, chemo brain! I've noticed it from time to time ... But my wife would tell you that's been my normal for 20-30 years!
  4. Yeah, I've got a little neuropathy in my big toes. Not much. Hopefully it'll eventually go away. My drug was Cisplatin. It seemed to also affect sense of taste. Hopefully that'll go back to normal too.
  5. Awww ... Now we're scoring Major and minor. What Division are we in?
  6. Hey @Squirrel45 ... Glad to hear your treatment is progressing. I'm sure your oncologist will monitor your labs CLOSELY. (Mine did!) Kind of like the radiation, the chemo tends to be cumulative and get nastier with each treatment. Kind of the nature of the beast. (Sorry ...) Good luck, and hang in there!
  7. Once upon a time declaring barrels as soft cover was a common practice at Area Championships and the Nationals. Fortunately, that lunacy seems to have passed.
  8. If you think it is a speed contest, then the least you can do is to score it under Comstock rules ...
  9. Hmmm ... It sounds like we're back to the primordial question: Is it the Indian, or the arrow? . . . . Oh d%#n! Is that cultural appropriation? Racism? Politically incorrect? Who cares ... It frames the question!
  10. The key here (under IPSC rules) is that the Patriot Defense guide rod constitutes an aftermarket part. Hence, as @Kiwishoot correctly notes, it would not be legal. See Special Condition 19 (et al) on the page he references. I would note, however, that if Tanfolglio were be the ones making this part it would be legal for guns they make for which it would be intended to fit. See Special Condition 18 (et al), same document. JMHO, but I think that's a little nuts ...
  11. However, changing out springs is allowed now (with some minor caveats) so this is no longer an issue.
  12. The only way to enforce a rounds loaded rule is to require the ROs to have to COUNT the rounds fired. I'll be D#*%&D if I want to have to count to 20 over and over again just to satisfy this issue!
  13. Classifier scores are based on national scores over time, not on individual matches. Scores during matches should be computed by and within divisions, though many clubs will present an unofficial set of overall combined results for folks to review.
  14. I just spotted the book used, on Amazon ... Just under $100 !!!
  15. 2.1.4 does not explicitly specify this, but the reference to "as and when visible" actually is back to the language in 1.1.5.
  16. @Squirrel45 Sadly, yes. Will send PM.
  17. When in doubt, ask the CRO for the stage. He or she should be HAPPY to clarify it for you!
  18. Talk to your radiation oncologist concerning realistic expectations post radiation treatments. The effects last longer than I thought they would. (My last radiation was 20 Feb ... It took several weeks for the direct effects from that to cease. I'm still dealing with the healing process in the irradiated areas.)
  19. Yep ... That can happen. I didn't have that problem, but I was warned it was possible. Be aware, and I'm sorry to say this ... Things will tend to get progressively worse as your treatment goes on. It's the nature of the beast. My oncology team told me this, but I kind of sluffed it off ... until it got worse! The effects of both chemo and radiation are cummulative in nature. Good luck, and keep fighting!
  20. Historically, there has been some consternation over this issue. For example, a Glock used to come standard with a captured single spring on a guide rod. The objection, several years ago, was to replacing it with something like this: DPM MRS for Glock 17-22-31-34-35-37 Gen 4 Captured Version – DPM Systems Technologies Ltd. This is clearly a two spring set up. I tried to get clarification from IROA and the IPSC EC, but to no official decision. Hence, I've NO idea what they mean now!
  21. Perhaps ... But in CA, isn't pizza subject to Prop. 65 warnings?
  22. This one was pushed through by DNROI ... Personal bias, I believe. As someone else has said, it would be perfectly OK under IPSC Rules.
