  1. I've had cr speed pouches for 12 years now and they're awesome.
  2. Exactly, that's why I've never liked truglos stuff. And some of their stuff is deceivingly marketed as fiber optic...
  3. Just found what I was looking for on the fiber-optic site. I'm not a fan of green, and I've consistently been disappointed in truglo products in general so I have no faith in their fiber optic replacements.
  4. I've looked there but can't seem to find what I'm looking for :-/
  5. I don't compensate for other people's incorrect interpretations of equipment in my stage designs. I've been shooting USPSA for nearly 13 years and have never once in my mind equated any target to a child...
  6. Anybody got a good place to buy quality fiber optic in various colors ? Ive always liked red, but I'm interested in experimenting with uncommon colors. Blue, violet, amber, etc... Specifically .060
  7. I'm not sure I understand your reasoning of not putting different sized but similar targets near each other.
  8. Finally have my first 2011. I think I'd like to install an SV trigger so that I can change the shoes and see what I like the best. How much of the actual trigger job does the trigger bow itself affect ? So CE I'd be putting in a completely different trigger bow, would that change my current pull alot? Is there alot of fitting that goes I to the bow itself ? Thanks.
  9. I think they're very useful for seeing how your handling transitions or engaging activated targets, doing reloads etc.
  10. Yeah, some of that makes sense. I do do variations of speed in my practice though. Usually start at half to three quarter speed to warm up, and do everything smooth and deliberate till I push past my ability. Its just hitting that settled in speed at a match and not backing off too much that's difficult.
  11. Thanks Benos . I need to go read through your book for the 12th time lol it's been a year or so since I recapped :-D
  12. I've listened to some of Steve's podcasts. Can't seem to keep interested/entertained by him... Maybe it's that intro lol.
  13. Shot a custom STI 6" 2011 at the match yesterday. Ended up winning first limited, and 2nd overall out of about 30 shooters, with the highest percentage of match points possible... MAYBE I've been running the wrong platform :-P buddy of mine is selling it to me, and he let me shoot it for the match to make sure I like it.
  14. That's what I'm talking about... Forcing myself to better call every shot even if it feels slower... Gonna shoot for points and let the speed fall where it will.
  15. Yeah. I'm gonna try to keep a shot calling focus for the whole match Saturday. Every now and then the speed and front sight will mesh great and I'll have an awesome day and even win a local match every now and then. It's just hard to force it.
  16. Yeah, that's one thing in the video that kept popping in my head was that he was riding the sights with his eyes between targets making for mushy transitions.
  17. I've been shooting USPSA a long time, and I've found that my biggest issue in matches is my sometimes inability to meter my performance down lower than when I practice. Pushing 110% in practice is great, especially when doing repeated drills, because of the familiarity of what's about to take place I can shoot a class or maybe two above my classification. When it comes to match time and I try to back off of my performance ever so slightly I either back off way too much, or not enough and it's sometimes very difficult to keep things at a steady consistency... Anyone else experience this ?
  18. Yep, at 20seconds in, could see it poking out the other side. Just something to be aware of, not bashing...
  19. Ehh... At 20secs you can see it's still in that time, can see it poking out the other side while messing with mags... I'm not criticizing though, just eyeballing it.
  20. Why are you firing again after the par beep? As long as you beat the par beep you know your faster than it... Plus this drill is super easy to do dry fire just using dummy rounds for weighted mags. Just curious what firing the extra shot gets you after par...
  21. Between work, and family I get a day a weekend maybe for live fire, which I have my own range with steel and props etc which helps, and sometimes 30mins a night to dry fire, doesn't matter how bad I want it, that's what I have to work with lol. My goal is to make A by the end of 2017...
  22. OK, I give up, I find it amazingly impressive that you have this data on hand, and that you could do that many drills in one day AND record all of that info, tape targets, and rescore Everytime. I've never in my life had enough time to do that and doubtfully never will. Alot of times I find that's what separate GMs and everybody else, alot more time and money to throw at the game lol.
