Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

1. The bullets are 355. I just measured the "crimp" at ~.376. I'm having trouble with various head stamps but mostly RP stamped. I resized 10 empty cases and one of them failed the plunk test in the Glock barrel. Loaded them with 3.6g of HP38 with OAL of 1.12 and that one suspect case will enter the barrel but its hard to extract. Ill call dillon tomorrow.
2. So I started having failures to extract and failures to feed with a stock Glock 19 at my last shooting session. The issues were with 124g Xtreme HP and 115 Xtreme RN bullets. Mostly, the rounds would not fully feed into the chamber... if they did, a manual extraction by racking the slide was very difficult. I figured that my OAL was too long since I load long for my CZ pistols. Usually about 1.15. Also, the same rounds that were hanging up in the Glock were running fine in my CZ Shadow and P01. Back at the reloading bench, I shortened the OAL to 1.125 and it fixed the majority of my failures but still not perfect. 95% of the rounds pass the plunk test in the Glock barrel... but then I noticed that my press was not fully resizing the brass. I'm using a Dillon Square Deal B. I did some research and it led me to changing the "toolhead friction plate"... it was very worn. Now my press is definitely resizing more of the case but there is still a good bit of case left untouched. Check out the pictures for reference... is that gap normal? Is there anything further I can do to adjust the resizing on a Dillon Square Deal B? Very low upload size so can't upload pictures to the forum but then can be seen here: https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/Z2fxyAYJLKt6lN28l4yAh2CnpHVerryr9qoB1rqHIUW

Shadow target ii

So I finally built the courage to tear apart my CZ pistols and I've gotten quite good at the whole process. I have a shadow target ii and a regular cz75b that's been worked on by Cajun. I noticed that I shot the Cajun gun much better and attributed it to the nicer crisper break. Now that I had some experience changing parts and experimenting, I switched the hammer and disconnector assembly from the Cajun gun to the shadow target and voila, the nice crisp trigger was transferred from the Cajun gun to the shadow. My question is this... The hammers look the same to me, but they're obviously not the same. What hammer does the shadow target Ii come with? This is the pistol http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-75-sp-01-shadow-target-ii-9mm-cz-custom/ I'll probably be ordering a Cajun hammer and sear tomorrow but I was just curious if you guys have a preference for stock shadow parts vs any "upgrades".
4. So I've tried to get used to shooting my sp01 shadow target with the original extended safety. However, my grip is just not compatible with it and it digs into my hand causing discomfort after any extended range visit. I know some people change it out for a less obtrusive version, namely the rami safety. What parts do I need to purchase to do this conversion? Is this all I need? http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/0640037001_Safety--Left-Rami-Alloy
5. I was searching for this on the Cajun website and could not find it. Dug up this thread and the link above now says this has been suspended until they can resolve some issues... Did anyone here actually order one or has it always been out of stock... I wonder what kind if issues they've been having. I need to order a couple more trigger return springs. What's the difference between the reduced power and regular spring.... Should I get one or the other for my CZ sp01 shadow target?

Congrats I'm enjoying a new shadow target 2. All my CZs are great shooters.

Sp01 barrel swap

If I were to buy a threaded barrel from someone that has already been fit to his pistol, would this same barrel drop into my sp01 and function appropriately? I recently fit a barrel into a regular cz75b and it was a process. I found someone that's selling a "new" threaded barrel that came on his pistol but I'm afraid to purchase it because it might not function in my particular gun? I know I can't swap from sp01 to a regular cz75b and vice versa but other than that do they interchange?
8. I think I'l try this next time I shoot Tennjeep.
9. btw- kneeling atlas, your guide on polishing and enhancing CZ's is awesome! Thanks.
10. I guess I just wanted a take on whether my grip is incorrect and maybe that's why I'm having a problem with it. I pulled the gun out and tried the whole "thumb riding the safety" but it feels unnatural and it doesn't allow me get as high a grip as I like with my left (weak) hand. This is my normal grip:
11. I recently picked up a shadow target and took it to the range yesterday. It was a bit uncomfortable to shoot due to the aggressive checkered grips and because the wide safety on the left side of the pistol digs into my hand. I had a spare set of rubber grips that fixed the first issue. However, I will either need to adjust my grip or replace the wide safety on this gun. Have any of you had to adjust your grip while shooting these SP01s with the extended safety.... or am I just not gripping the pistol appropriately?
12. So... I thought I'd try some lubrication and doused the trigger spring and bar in ATL gun cleaner/lubricant. It's now functioning and resets normally but still seems a bit sluggish. Doesn't seem like the trigger return spring is broken but probably time to replace it anyway. I'll call CGW tomorrow.
13. I purchased a used CZ 75 (Made in 2007 from the stamp on the slide) and I'm having some difficulties with it. When I got it home I started doing some dry fire practice with it: using snap caps of course. I noticed that the trigger reset was sluggish. Almost like the trigger return spring was weak. After about 20-30 mixed double/single action pulls the trigger failed to reset at all. I can help it reset by pushing the trigger forward and it clicks back in place. It wont do it by itself. Can anyone enlighten me as to what I need to do in order to fix it? Is it just a weak trigger spring? Does it need lubrication? I took a video of what I'm describing but the forum wont let me post it because I'm a new member. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, the gun was advertised as having been worked on my David at CGW.
