  1. My 40 M&P will shoot range brass no problem. The S&W 610 requires the bulge buster kit to get the cases to drop in reliably. The brass that I resized, goes into a bucket and is only used in the revolver after that. Have you loaded any on the SDB yet?
  2. go over to Cast Boolits the folks there have a ton of he info you are looking for. Keep hitting the small shops and you will find someone to give you wheel weights.
  3. I've have seen them like that, probably 1 in 500. I loaded them up and never knew the difference.
  4. Those will shoot out of my S&W 610 no problem!
  5. I voted no. I do however sort brass for my moon clipped revolver. The moons make it easy to keep them sorted and the cases are held in the moon more consistantly.
  6. Shooting in the rain Sunday afternoon is becoming a tradition. Great
  7. The 610 is fun. If you are already running .40's in an auto, then you are already set up.. It would have the same uses as the 625 though.
  8. These guys have them. Looks to be the same bullet I cast from a magma mold. billy bullets
  9. Before I bought the North Mountain moon clip holder, I was using a nylon shotgun shell belt loop holder. I put 2 .38's in each loop, and I never lost one. I think you can get them at Walmart for about 5 bucks
  10. Pinnacle-guns.com I had my 686+ converted to moon clips by Mark Hartshorne of Pinnacle Guns. He did a great job. I mailed my cylinder to him, he cut it and mailed it back. I'd shoot him an e-mail to find out when he plans to do the next batch first though.
  11. Here's some WST load data I posted a while back. 176 gr lead out of a 4' S&W M&P aa7 data powder & WST data

    my 610

There must be something genetic about wanting a 610. Mine is in transit to my FFL here, and you and I have the same last name. I thought that was pretty coincidental.
  14. I already packed them up, so I don't know about the weight. You can clearly see the mold line, uneven bottoms and the incomplete fill out. They came in 2 1500 boxes, and I opened both to make sure they were the same quality as each other. (they were) On the bright side, Wideners wrote back and said they are going to give me a full refund, including the return shipping. That's good customer service.
  15. I'm going to have to give this deal a thumbs down. I got my bullets yesterday, and they are definitely "seconds" that they are selling off. The bullet on the left is one I bought a while back. Same brand, Meister bullet. It is far superior than the ones I received from Wideners. I'm pretty sure I'm sending them back.
  16. 4.3 gr of Universal loaded to 1.065 OAL PF=137 4.1 gr Red Dot loaded to 1.065 OAL PF=133 I also used had some loads 3.8 of 231 loaded 1.055 never put them over a chrony
  17. I've shot 2k out of my Glock 34 with storm lake barrel, no problem. Lead smokes a lot, but that's lead, not these bullets. I ordered my 3k box last week. For the CZ, I've found that the bullets need to be loaded shorter. These Meister TC bullets will be fine in the CZ.
  18. Perfect. I have a set of the JM grips, and I've been wanting to try a 610. Send it to me and I'll tell you how the grips feel

  21. I bought a pair of the Peltor 6S ecectronic muffs last year, and unfortunately, they got a loose connection. and I had a lot of white noise in one ear. I sent them back for warrenty repair...Priority mail on Saturday. I got them back fixed today..Thursday. That's pretty darn good customer service. Dare I say it, Dillon like? Thought I should share pstew
  22. I'd suggest you take one step at a time. Buy some cast bullets from a local to you supplier. Bell the mouth more that you did with the jacketed bullets. You might also consider the precision bullets as an option to cast. Casting your own is a great way to save, and I've started pouring my own 175 gr 40's, but buy a few thousand first and see if your gun will shoot them. Another thought is I'd start off with a heavy slow bullet like the 175gr, rather than say a 155 lighter faster bullet.
  23. My revolver gets cleaned before every match and practice session. Oh wait, that is the same thing. My glock gets cleaned about every 500 or so.
