  1. I thought your stage sounded like fun . I guess I'm too naive; I thought these dang games were supposed to be fun . Oh well, I guess I'm kinda mellow about these things cause I can't shoot well enough to win . Maybe one day I'll be good enough to fuss over "who gets more ammo on that stage than I do" . BTW, I'm just kiddin a little, no offense intended to anyone who takes these things a little more serious (but I did like your stage SLM) . Cheers!
  2. Hey, these were really cool ! (Well, for me anyway ) Uh, what would be a good time for a draw and single shot coming out of an IDPA holster? I spent about 10 minutes drawing my CZ 75 B from my CenDex holster, and dry firing one shot each time. I set the timer to 1.5 sec, and I could barely get my gun out and one shot off . Heck I doubt I'd have even scared the target... I keep reading posts here about you guys getting like .75 sec draws . I don't think I can even get my hand on my gun in .75 sec Man, I really stink (But I am just getting into this stuff, so maybe there's hope yet )
  3. I hate pollen Two days in the driveway eh? It's gotten much better around here the last week or so. About two weeks ago I came home at lunch time and washed my car. I took my motorcycle back to work, and by the time I got home four hours later, my car once again looked like your truck . It looked like I'd never washed it...
  4. AH HA! Now I get it! Thank you sir, that was very helpful. Cheers!
  5. I hate it that I'm sitting here pretending I know how to type instead of being outside pretending I know how to shoot Dang I hate having to work... Oh, wait, that's another thread!
  6. Ordered the book this weekend, so it's somewhere between here and there Guess I'll just have to go wait out by the mailbox
  7. Ummm, I thought it was the other way around . Mr. Burkett would be the go to guy I'd say... Is this just an accident (reversal of the two), or am I screwed up ? (Probably that latter one ) Cheers!
  8. Oh Ummm, could you maybe provide a pic or something? I'm definitely a little slow to catch on sometimes, and in this case I'm having a tough time picturing what you've described. I'll bet it's easy to do once you've seen it done, but until then... Thanks for bearing with me! Cheers!
  9. (Hello, new guy here ) Errr, could you try to explain this to me please? Anything to help with recoil sounds good, but I've really no idea what you're talking about . Thanks! Cheers!
  10. Hi everyone! I'm new here (obviously - my 2nd post ), and I'm no expert on... well, anything . I picked up a Cen-Dex Storm last year when I bought my first CZ, and I like it. But, I've seen a bunch of stuff about IDPA changing holster rules, and the Storm is now questionable for IDPA ? What would be a better choice to be totally legal in IDPA, and still be a good choice for USPSA? I picked up a used Blade-Tech holster for my P-01 when I bought that gun last Fall, and the BT seems like a great choice too. Thanks for looking! Cheers!
  11. Hi everyone! I'm new here (obviously ), but I figured I'd add my totally unqualified opinion on this one. After years of just punching paper once in a while, I finally shot a few matches last year. Last Spring I picked up a CZ 75 SA (9mm), but really can't remember why, and then shot in an IDPA-like match. I had a lot of fun , and then a buddy talked me into getting a Springfield XD. I bought the XD-9 Tactical, and then shot in another IDPA-like match and also shot in a steel match. The XD was very nice shooting, but it had a weird habit of not locking the slide back after the last round fired , and it felt sort of top heavy (unbalanced) during recoil. I sold the XD and went back to the CZ (and also bought a CZ 75 B and a P-01), although I haven't had time to shoot a match since that steel match last year . Anyway, I really don't know much about USPSA matches, but I think the CZs are great guns; well worth the money for what you get in return. Cheers!
