  1. any update?? has anyone shot one of these with STI mags????
  2. what do I have to do to get 'handheld' to be active in EZWin? Mine is greyed out....
  3. Thanks Bill - sure thought that was what I was doing - but will try again tonight.... I know that once we get these things working, it's going to be great, but this part of it is pretty frustrating! Scott
  4. I think the problem may be in my file manager. I have one older Nook, running an older OS, was able to delete PS, and then go to 'Super Manager' and click on the .apk and it loaded. The Nooks with the newer OS (sorry don't know the version) won't seem to open Super Manager, so I can't even get to it.
  5. I am able to update in my android tablet, simply from the google play store. I have 6 Nook Simple Touch's, that were rooted using one of the older methods (Touchnooter maybe?). I have saved the practiscore-5.apk file to a microsd card, can't seem to make that work. I know there must be a simple solution to this - but it is escaping me. Looks like my version of 'file manager' is Super Manager - can't quite seem to get the file transferred with that either. Sorry for being clueless here guys! Thanks in advance.
  6. Finally getting back to this - and can't make it work. The nook is looking for a file 'pss.txt' and will not recognize 'registration.txt;' Any help?
  7. I have been going through all of the posts on Practiscore, and I apologize if this is covered in another thread. How do I get my master names database out of EzWinscore, and into Practiscore? It would be nice to have the full database in the nooks.
  8. Smith and Wesson have a new M&P in .22 coming out. It is in their 2011 new product catalog....

  10. I'm told that Briley can do a modification to the bolt release button. It has to be sent to them, not a home-type project apparently. I will let you know if I find out more, and will post pics if I get it done! I know they do good work - so would not be concerned with that...
  11. +1 For the Dawson's - good stuff, great sight picture.....
  12. Simlar experience with mine - ran 1-1/8 oz. Estate loads like a champ, loaned it to a friend at the same match running 1 oz Remington loads, didn't like them. But, the gun was only a week old, with less than 100 rounds through it. Sure like it over my 11-87 that I shot for years!
  13. I have heard about the Shooting USA / Impossible Shots video of Jerry Miculek doing a very fast shotgun reload. Have looked for it on-line, can't find it posted anywhere. Anybody know where there is a post of that video?
  14. The biggest thing is just to get out there and try it! You are going to meet a bunch of really great people, and have a great time! Let your budget determine how much you get to participate - but PARTICIPATE!! Welcome to the sport - enjoy!
  15. The Dillons have a more 'radiused' opening on the sizing die, making it easier for the brass to enter, even if it is not lined up just right. They work great. But, yes - you can use any brand of standard thread dies.
  16. I would suggest you look at setting yourself up for PRODUCTION Division, rather than Limited to get started. You will get a better idea of how you are progressing, as you will be shooting against similar equipment. Yes, there are some folks who can be competitive in Limited with a stock Glock, but not very many. Also - the advice above to shoot many different guns (as many as you can get your hands on) is really good advice. Don't limit yourself to the Glock. Yes, they are a good piece, but they don't fit everyone well, or point well for everyone. Look at the Springfield XD, the Smith & Wesson M&P, the CZ SP-01, even the Para Ordnance LDA - shoot everything you can find! Production is a great place to start, and decide from there where you want to go (if anywhere....) Welcome to the sport - ENJOY!
  17. Blade Tech also makes a pouch for Brownells, with the Brownells logo on it - works great! You can buy it in a pack, with (2) 30-round Brownell mags for a good price.
  18. Just went to the FN-SLP after shooting an 11-87 for years. I'm still pretty new to it, but I really like the way it handles, the action is very smooth, it just feels good! I don't believe there are any TecLoaders available for these.
  19. Why does Murphy only show up during a match, and not in practice! Thanks for sharing.
  20. The invector plus is a longer choke, your barrel has to be cut for it. Double check the chokes that came with your shotgun, to make sure you get it right, before you spend a bunch of money! My new 22" FN-SLP has Invector chokes (not plus). I think (not 100% sure) that some of the longer barrel SX-2's may have Invector plus. You can still do the extended chokes, where they extend past the end of the barrel, but you have to have the right length for the part 'inside the barrel'. Hope that helps!
  21. Keep shooting, get involved with a local club, you'll be surprised how much folks can help you! You're off to a great start - keep at it, and you will see improvements! Good luck!
  22. Dustin - should have known you would go bigger than that 20 Rounder!! Nice! I've gone back to Tactical..... Scott
