I had this happen with my 650. (Yes I did something dumb) Primers daisy chained around the plate and up the tube which was 1/2 full. Everything worked as it should to protect me from any physical damage apart from my ear ringing and a fresh pair of soiled under wear. I found the plastic rod a couple of days later bent like a pretzel in the far corner of the garage after I had given up on looking for it. No damage was done to the roof.

I had a similar problem with my FL2000. I must admit that I was a bit disapointed that they wouldn't warrenty it after 20 years of use. I tried the oil trick and it did work for a while but I would send it in now and get it sorted. Ended up buying a new Dillon Tumbler. There service is just to good.

I know a number of guys here with STI's who have tried SV and SPS mags. The end result has been to get the genuine STI mags rather than trying "Band Aid" type fixes. I was the STI distributor in NZ many years ago so that's my 2 cents worth.

Bought one through Brownells and wouldn't be without it. Saved me a fortune in springs especially when my wife starts changing them in her guns.

Are you running a full length S/S guide rod?

Mad Doc, Gun laws are pretty good over here. I won't explain the different licence classes as it would take all day. If you have the right licence you can own pistols & SBR's with no fee's. Anyone can own a suppressor without an legal hassels. Taroman, Live in Auckland but spent a lot of time in the South Island when I was in the Air Force. Really like it down there. Hey Phil, it would be good to catch up.
