  1. I load Bayou 147's over three grains of TG at 1.140" and get a pf of 132 out of my 1911 range officer

    Short funny jokes

What's the difference between a saloon and an elephant fart? One is a bar room and the other is a BARROOOMMM
  3. That's the model I have and I have no complaints. The only issue I've had was with swc bullets which I corrected by loading longer. I wanted to move from limited to ss and that's the gun I got. I've shot a lot of uspsa matches with it. It's not as nice as the Trojan I got late last year in 40 cal but rock island cost less than half. And when I got the Trojan the slide stop was defective. I wound up taking the slide stop out of the rock island and using it in the Trojan so I could shoot some matches until sti sent me a replacement. I think it's a good gun if you're just starting to shoot ss and if you stay with ss you can move to a little nicer gun later if you feel like it.
  4. For Bayou 230gr I load 4.0 grains of Tite-Group at 1.250" but I mostly shoot 200gr which I load 4.6 grains of TG at the same 1.250". I get a power factor ~175 with that load.
  5. I have never tried the other two. My son and I have both been using Tite-Group for a long time. It's always worked well for us and we have never seen a reason to change.
  6. Tite-Group 4.5gr with 200gr Bayou Bullet at 1.255" OAL works great for me
