  1. Agreed, especially since I can pick them up for cost from a distributor
  2. Thanks for the responses, Czgunaslot & Superpipe9. I'm not overly concerned about alot being out for them as they are still quite new and the market need for parts & accessories aren't there yet. As for milling a Shadow instead, I actually prefer a striker-fired action and I would be purchasing 2 of them, a primary & backup. Thanks again!
  3. I'm considering picking up one of the CZ P-10F Optics Ready pistols for a dedicated Carry Optics & possible steel match pistol. I'm curious if anyone else here may have already done the same and if you'd be willing to share your experiences and any recommendations for best tricking it out to run in Carry Optics or steel matches.
  4. Congrats again on a great year buddy! It's awesome to see you doing so well, kicking ass and taking names. Quite a trip from the old bowling pin & indoor match days with the Glocks, old friend lol. Hope to see you again some time soon at WAC or one of the other local area matches, Ian. You gotta let me try out some of the new Akai toys
  5. Looks awesome Don! I wanna see your TiN Open gun when you get it done!
  6. That's awesome! Congrats jerkeejoe! It looks like something out of a movie or TV show. Be sure to post lots of pics and vids of you running it when you can.
  7. Thanks to all of you for your replies and advice. I will definitely check out SnipersHide as well for additional info and ideas too. I am currently leaning towards going with a 24" 1:10 in .308Win, I already have a 20" Savage 10 FCP-SR for a more maneuverable & lighter option. Most likely I will also be using said 20" setup for any hunting and sub-600yds shooting. As for the 6.5CM, I'm torn between a 24" RPR or a 26" Savage 12 LRP.
  8. I am looking for any advice or insight as to the optimal barrel length for a couple future precision bolt-action rifles, a .308Win and a 6.5CM. These rifles will both be used for recreational target shooting, potential PRS matches, as well as some occasional hunting. I plan to shoot these rifles both suppressed (SilencerCo Chimera & Gemtech TheOne) and unsuppressed using factory & reloaded ammo. I do also have access to both property and ranges where I can shoot from as close as 100yds out to as far as 1500yds. I would appreciate any advice and insight you can give me. Any pics/vids with your own setup(s) and results would be a big help as well. Thanks in advance.

Thanks very much! I'll be starting there and see how it feels and shoots for accuracy. Thanks again.

    P320 X5 Thread

Hey all! I'm eagerly awaiting my own X-Five which is out for delivery and due at my shop tomorrow afternoon. Absolutely cannot wait to get it in my hands and start breaking it in! I am still debating on which optic to go with for it, either the Romeo1 or a DPP. I've got a Blade-Tech holster on order but I'm thinking of ordering a RHT as well. Any of you X-Five folks have a favorite 124 JHP recipe so far, TG or CFE?
  12. I am curious what you folks are currently loading for the new P320 X-Five. I will be loading primarily 124 JHP with either TG or CFE Pistol powder. I was planning on trying an OAL somewhere between 1.100 and 1.135 depending on actual velocity & accuracy. Any recommendations from current X-Five owners?
  13. I have a P320 X-Five coming my way and I was wondering if anyone here may already have some recipes. Looking for any load recipes for use in Production, Carry Optics, Steel and 3-Gun. I will be loading in 9mm using 124gr JHP/CMJ projectiles with either CFE Pistol or Titegroup powders. I'd appreciate any help or recommendations. Thanks!
  14. Thank you all for the recs and the advice, much appreciated. I actually know Dave Pruitt so I may just reach out to him and see if he can help me out with the build. This will be my first non-2011 based Open rig so I'm looking forward to it. Especially now that MBX is making the dedicated mags for the Caspian/Tanfo platform. Thanks again all!
  15. I am asking for any recommendations or referrals for gunsmiths currently building or working on Caspian HiCap pistols for USPSA/IPSC Open class. The owner of the shop I manage has offered to purchase both a Caspian HiCap frame and slide for me to build an Open pistol. It will be used to shoot action matches under the shop name for advertising and as a gift So, are there any gunsmiths out there specializing or accepting "parts provided" builds for Caspian frame Open guns? Any advice or help is appreciated.
