Just bought a Dewalt heated coat off Amazon. I already have batteries so it was a little cheaper. I’m thinking it will be nice to put a still warm coat back on after shooting a stage.
Just bought a pair of 140 mm 9/38 mags. Did the break in per their instructions and they just run. Can’t say that for a pair of gen2. STI I put together.
I am very lucky to shoot with the same 3 people 99% of the time. We carpool to the matches, work majors together, share stage plans and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Running 7.4gr of autocomp at 1.168" 125gr TC Blues. Gun is running very nicely.
However it is very smoky. Like a locomotive. Is autocomp just a smoky powder? Is it the Blues?
Having a Co-director makes it much easier. Split the duties.
Don't take complaints personally. Use them to improve matches.
You will never please everyone.
We run a lost brass match. No picking up during the match. After its done, have at it. What doesn't get collected, the buzzards get it the next morning.
I find Cleanshot to meter great and consistent. I've used it mostly in .40 (around 20lbs.) but use it in my 9mm rounds also. Chrono results have always been very consistent also.
Yep
Don't mark it, don't want it back.
I did use to mark my .40 brass while it was still in the Hundo gauge. A swipe with a fat sharpie and done. Clean the Hundo every so often with Dawn dish soap.
There is not much better then being able to shoot with your kids and watching them grow and develop in the sport. My son started with a .22 at 10yrs old. Went to a 9mm M&P in Limited minor after 5 months. At 12 yrs went to a 2011 limited major. Now at 13 he is consistently in the top 10 in Limited. Of course physical size and majority has played a large role. He was a small 10 yr old and now is just shy of 6' tall.
