  1. Got the Budget Reloaders case feeder. I did cut two inches off the support and feed tube to get it a little lower. Works vety well and was on sale for $139. Thats $100 cheeper than the Dillon and one disk covers everything I load. My only complaint is it is too quiet. You have to pay attention to keep it filled.
  2. Thanks from me too Brian! My new 650 is great! Setup was very easy I think the red one taught me a lot about die setup and tinkering. Its nice to just make ammo!
  3. This is exactly what happened to me last week! I have done all the mods and tips you could do on the Loadmaster. I would get about 2 or three primer failures per 100 rounds after constant tinkering. Well the POS ran 20 rounds without primers and I snapped. Ordered a 650 from Brian also and can not believe how great a press it is. All I do now is pull the handle. Put in the shell plate upgrade, spent primer upgrade and ordered a Budget Reloaders case feeder too. The really amazing thing is I mentioned I had a loadmaster for sale at the club and a guy bought it on the spot. Doubt we will remain friends when he realizes how tough the Loadmaster is.
  4. Aftec extractor is a must. I had it tuned so it runs very well
  5. Order the one for the bull barrel.(no bushing) it comes with the correct reverse plug. Simple assembly and it makes breakdown super simple. I will not own a 2011 or 1911 without one. Get a few differant springs 12 pounds to 14 and see which works best with your ammo. If you utube Dawson toolless guide rod there are tons of how to clips.
  6. I got rid of it and went with the Dawson tool less guide rod. At 170 PF I am using a 12 pound spring. Gun shoots flat.
  7. New STI barrel. Loading 180 grain RNFP plated, 4.4 grs of Tite group, CCI SP primers and I shoot for 1.130" OAL. The length drifts a few thousands 1.128 to 1.131(Lee loadmaster) I have been getting PF's of 169-171.
  8. Quick question, I have an STI Executive and was wondering about the grip screw at the front of the trigger guard. When you tighten the two small screws down on the sleeve tightly do they turn freely or should they tighten and not spin?
  9. I have an STI Exec with a recoil master. I would like to change it to a Dawson tool-less FLGR with a 12.5# spring. My question is do I need to buy a new reverse plug or can I use the one on the recoil master? Thanks
