  1. My 5" PDP pistol seems to like 124gr Blue bullets. OL 1.10. 4.0 gr AA # 2.
  2. I'm guessing Sig designed the MPX to shoot ball ammo....
  3. I think the PCC is a worthwhile tool. I do shoot PCC both in USPSA and IDPA. I have a SIG MPX. All the controls are the same as my AR15. So, the training repetition was my main reason for getting one.
  4. I have a MPX I've been running poly coated bullets in for the last year. 124 gr Bayou and Blue Bullets. I have no issues other than you need to make the overlength short so the bullet won't touch the lands in the barrel. 1.10 ol. I find that 124 or 115 factory ball which is longer has no issues. Remington 115gr ball is 1.125 ol.
  5. I have been using the TT mag extensions for my SF Full size. They fit the pistol with the magwell installed.
  6. I also have an Overwatch trigger in my PDP SF Full size pistol. I think you are feeling the striker plunger in the "first" position. I might suggest you get the Sprinco TSK spring kit #87888. I installed this spring and it lightened up the resistance from the plunger. Sprinco USA -- Recoil Solutions
  7. I run the Blue Bullet 124's in my PDP SF. The gun will shoot inside an inch as long as I do my part...
  8. I had a VP9 and I have both polymer and steel framed Q5's. In my opinion the trigger is much better out of the box in the Walther pistols. As for recoil it's not a fair comparison. The Q5SF is much heavier than the VP9L. So, the felt recoil is much less. If cost is not an issue, then I would choose the Q5SF.
  9. I would think it will be very similar to the Q5 SF. The Q5 SF frame profile and grip texturing is more like the PDP. I own a Q5 SF and it is a nice shooting pistol.
  10. I would contact Rob at ILWT. Explain you issue. He would be the best person to discuss this with.
  11. I sent an MPX barrel manufactured in 2016 to have the port opened to In Lead we Trust. It was having some issues cycling power factor loads. Rob polished the chamber, feed ramp and opened up the port. Received it and shipped it back the same day he received the barrel. Now the gun runs like a top. I am very impressed with the service.
  12. Thanks for the help. Range session today with the 15lb spring and the gun runs like a top.
  13. Take a look at Garrett holsters. I have one of their leather lined Kydex Silent Thunder "Champion" Holsters.
  14. Does anyone know what the Q5 SF's standard factory spring weight is? I picked one up recently. It cycles with factory ball without a hitch. I would like to use my reloads which are 130PF. It does not always eject the case with the reloads. I'm thinking of getting a 15-pound spring.
  15. I use a 16# spring. Like Wolff Springs.
  16. I would recommend Jim Milks Of Innovative Custom Guns in PA. He has done a number of guns for me and his work is amazing. Innovative Custom Guns
  17. Recently got a Kimber .22 conversion kit. I have tried the Federal Champion Bulk pack and it is does not always cycle. I also have tried the Winchester M22 and that seems to cycle fine. Interesting that the Federal is rated for 1200fps and the Winchester is rated for 1255fps. Due to the limited availability of ammunition I was wondering what others have used successfully in their Kimber .22 1911's.
  18. I'll have to say I own an arsenal with a milled received and the quality is top notch.
  19. I use a CMMG SS .22 Bolt and their dedicated barrel. Great setup. I added The Taccom firing pin and extractor. I also Use S&W .22 mags with the Boonie Packer S&W magazine adaptor. So far this is the best set up in my opinion
  20. Could it be you had a ejection failure from the prior round and the case was in front of the round in the mag? If the bolt then came forward The bolt face might have had enough force to ignite the round in the mag.
  21. Just an update. I too fell victim to the 1000 round failure to eject. I contacted CMMG. They replaced the entire Bolt carrier assembly. Now the Rifle runs like a champ!
  22. I actually polish the trigger bar and the firing pin block(All surfaces). Makes a difference
