  1. I hold a little high. My close holds are pretty much subconscious at this point, although I do program during the stage walkthrough where exactly I want to see my dot on each target. You can never get around your offset holds at close distances. The further in you bring your zero, the more blown out the rest of your holds are. Just spend a bit of time getting used to holding a bit high up close. It's a lot easier to hold 2 inches off at 10 yards than it is at 75 haha.
  2. So far with all my MPX experience, I've been impressed with the softness of recoil, but very unimpressed with the controllability. The recoil is soft, but it seems to "do what it wants" for lack of a better term. I feel like with my match guns, I can make them shoot exactly how I want by changing grip and stance tensions. With the MPX, I feel that even with large changes to my grip and stance, I still get the exact same squishy dot movement and I don't feel in control at all.
  3. Thanks, this is valuable info for me. I have a brand new MPX PCC sitting in the safe that is waiting for its detailed review (along with a few other PCCs) and I'll be sure to test that myself and mention if I find something similar. Probably why Taran's guns are set up with the stock lower and the MRO using the low mount.
  4. Interesting, that's cool the tube version is brighter. Have you tried just moving the stock tube higher on the MPX? It has a picatinny rail on the back where you can adjust the position. But otherwise, I would like to see a low mount for the 510 so that it can be more easily used on shotguns/AK/Ruger/MPX with lower stock positions than traditional ARs.
  5. Eotech just doesn't sell enough single dot models to motivate them to do anything with it. The fact there is no EXPS2-1 or XPS3-1 or EXPS3-1 is very revealing. I'm going to try to change that over the next year or so. No promises on the green though. I'm curious, do the Green MRO's get as bright as the reds? For the holosuns, I've always felt the max setting in green was about 1 setting dimmer than the max setting on red. Not how your eye perceives it, but just how big the dot gets as it's bloomed out in the sunlight. It would be cool to try a very very bright green dot.
  6. Day Five, on some more technical trigger stuff:
  7. Same as you, they just seem to work amazingly with my particular gun's config, and surprised me in how good they felt in many other of my test guns. And they also surprised me accuracy wise.
  8. I'm really into this challenge of designing complete practices where I'm limited to exactly the materials I listed - the 6 stands, specific 1 x 2 lengths, and metric paper. It actually makes it easier for me and I've been able to design drills a lot quicker than if I have an unlimited range of USPSA equipment. And it will be easy for anyone to follow.
  9. Hi guys! With Nationals 60 days away I challenged myself to produce one video of PCC related content per day, counting down until Nationals. Most of the content is on Instagram (@maxamundi) but I may transition it all to YouTube soon. We just finished day four, and I thought this would be a good video to share. I will post more here in this thread, but I recommend joining us on Instagram where it's a lot more interactive and I can answer questions through DMs or comments on my daily video posts. Today my video was a tune up range session, where my goal for the session was simply to get comfortable and consistent shooting this new setup with new 100gr match ammo that I've decided on. I talk through all my thoughts and found myself falling into "coaching mode" sometimes, as if I was teaching a class. I think it will be helpful to many of you. Enjoy!
  10. Hey guys, I got mine (2 x Rose Gold Flat). Will be testing them shortly vs the ECL and some other options. Ask if you want me to test anything in particular. I have QC10, Gibbz, and FM9 Glock lowers.
  11. Assuming the match isn't cancelled/postponed, I'm interested in working it if the staff match is Thur/Fri before the main match. I can't do the weekend before. Too much time away and don't wanna fly back and forth. Could you let me know when it's decided?
  12. I believe shipments are on track to go to dealers by the end of the week. I have two on order through a smaller dealer.
  13. Yes, seems like they're using the same trigger spring, and the toggles actually make the reset force less than if they werent there (although that reset force reduction is so marginally small because the toggle springs barely contract a half coil during reset). The reset on the PDI feels nice and positive. I think it's going to be a great trigger.
  14. I don't understand the "meets same light primer strike criteria" thing either, since even if these do have a powerful hammer strike, there's no way they come close to the 24 series with the toggles. Handling the triggers at SHOT, I felt like they were a 24C/243G copy with a little more travel in either direction. To be honest, if these are reliable in PCCs and other guns, I don't see there being a need to buy a 24C or ECL anymore. Maybe if you pay close attention in dry fire, you'll notice that technically the ECL feels better with less travel. But shooting the triggers, you most likely won't notice. I think this is a good thing though, especially at the price point of $180. And there's a lot that can go wrong when installing a hiperfire 24 series for someone without much experience, so this should make the whole thing a lot easier on people.
