  1. I left factory hammer spring in mine ... never had a problem
  2. 10/22 Takedown-Lite...4.6lbs...BX trigger. The only non Ruger parts are an Allchin Comp and a CMore Railway. Very accurate and reliable, I beat a lot of very expensive rifles with it.
  3. Great idea for the hand guard... patent it & get it manufactured... simple solution for those who like to grab the barrel.
  4. How soon for production of carbon hand guard for the Ruger PC Carbine ? Me & a lot of others are really interested...looks perfect.
  5. A most definite extra handicap for the older and handicapped shooter...especially if you are an A class shooter getting close to M (PCCO:84.56)...I'm 72 soon to be 73 and use a cane, I can walk short distances without it ... I really don't want to try to beat 4 sec and possibly fall down in the process...kind of a turn off for me. edyan / A646
  6. Ruger PC Carbine ...perfectly ambidextrous, very accurate and reliable...takes glock mags. Put a 2.5 lb. Volquartsen trigger and an Allchin comp plus whatever sight you like and you have a sweet shooting steel gun and not very expensive. yes I reversed the safety...Tactical Solutions https://www.tacticalinc.com/catalog/product/00418

  8. I agree...you have to shoot all the other stages really well...at my age I'm excited to be close to getting that M in PCCO (84.11) just have to really go for it on those seven other ones.
  9. How about something like smoke and hope with a 35 yd 10'" stop plate
  10. Just curious on how the decision was made to add an extra second (4sec)per string for disabled in 3.4.2, instead of the standard 3sec per string procedural. In my case I am A class in PCCO(84.11)and RFRO(80.57) shooter for seven of the 8 courses of fire... the 3 sec per string penalty lets me shoot B class scores whereas 4sec puts me in the C class area for Outer Limits. I agree that the 2sec penalty used in recent major matches may be too short, but I don't know of too many A or B class shooter that takes 4 sec to take that 3rd shot. Seems like an extra second is added as a reward for not being able to move quickly...Steel Challenge is about speed shooting... USPSA is about speed of movement and speed of shooting. Maybe Outer Limits should be eliminated so everyone can compete purely on shooting skills. At 72 years, old Steel challenge has allowed me to continue to compete in the shooting sports whereas in USPSA I am more of a participant. edyan A646
  11. Curious to know if disabled rule was applied in last National or World speed shoot and if so ...what it was? Edyan A646
  12. I joined in 1984...I shot in the 1986 Nationals in Dallas as well... great match...shot my Clark bowling pin gun ...still have it ...I wonder how many of those early comp guns are still around in the safes...they should hold a vintage pin gun match along with single stack. edyan A646
  13. I did the same thing transitioning to weak side...took the big button off & left the extended release button...works just as fast.
  14. My Ruger PC Carbine is set up pretty much the same...I left the bolt handle & the stock alone...Allchin comp works good as you can seen in the video, the gun stays flat & you can see the direction of the charge. I stuck two Beretta cheek pads together & it's high enough to work with the old CMore...Magwell works perfect, I left the big button off and just use the extended release that it is attached to. I found it easy to bump that big button accidentally and it works the same way without it. I shoot mostly steel now as I'm 72 & don"t move so well any more (elderly class ) but the reflexes are still good and I really like this carbine...got me to A class after two steel challenge matches. There are a few videos that show how capable the Ruger is & like Taran Butler said...you can't beat it for the price.
