  1. I'm debating if i should just get some Dillon .223 carbide dies and call it a day. I will be shooting my loads out of an AR-15. Or should i get different brand dies for each station?
  2. are they the loaded by federal? if so i ran them fine thru G34 with no issues. They are a bit snappy and if they are made by federal they are military crimped brass. head stamp should be RG
  3. I've been using CCI's exclusively on my modded guns and they all seem to ignite just fine. I have a change to get some tula/wolf primers for cheap...but don't want my handguns to be bolt action pistols. Do you guys think they are on par with hardness or is the tula/wolf primer that much harder to ignite?
  4. I find it pretty good. Sometimes it can get a bit too bright and bloomy but i can live with for close up work. which version do you have a 2 or 3? is anything covering the port where it collects the light?
  5. I have a Larue mount. I got the whole setup some Larue as a package.

    SP-01 receipe load

Has anyone tried 3.9gr HP38 with 124gr plated on a SP-01 with a 11lb spring? i've been running 4.0gr of powder but i wanted to lower my felt recoil but afraid 3.9gr would be to light to cycle.
  7. Here is a 10 shot group at 25yards. I have my 50 yard zero set on my optic. Below are the important specs 16inch Spikes Tactical barrel Burris Fastfire II 4MOA dot. 124gr X-treme loaded 4.0grains 1.15OAL and 3.77 crimp Shooting was done indoor range hunched over on a range bag. I was aiming at the top middle of the orange A zone line. besides adjusting my dot 2inches to the left would you find this accuracy acceptable at 25yards? or should i be playing with my load more?
  8. man it was like suggesting something to my wife lol! I bet you didn't know you were opening up such a big can of worms, lol.
  9. I've been using X-treme plated 124gr round nose bullets with great results. been thinking about trying out the HP versions of the same 124gr weight. Will i see a big difference in accuracy? i wonder if anyone has done a bench rest test.
  10. yeah i won't be handloading my Self-Defense rounds now.
  11. I'm looking to a load a 9mm defensive JHP round. Locally around me there is a shop that carries Hornady XTP and Nosler 124gr JHPs. is there other brand or sources i should be looking at?
  12. I ran thru 100 primers thru my 550B and my low primer sensor did not go off. i manually touched the sensor and it does indeed buzz. However the rod doesn't seem to want to go all the weigh down. should i attach a weight on top of the rod? or will that affect the priming system? new rod needed?
  13. Hi i just got a 550B which will be my first reloader ever so i'm pretty stoked! I've been looking at reloading benches all week...but i need something compact that won't take up a lot of room. any here would like to share their compact bench setups?
  14. Keep em coming...would love to hear your knowledge and experience!
  15. I want to build a hi-cap limited 1911 gun in .40sw and i would like to know which frame is thinner for smaller hands? I was looking at a Para P16 or STI. Also would a .38 super STI frame be thinner then a .40sw?
