  1. Limcat, RHT, DAA all make one for lefties too (search thumb rest instead of “paddle”)
  2. Nope. You are probably not going to be competitive in whatever division you shoot until you see an Ophthalmologist
  3. Marking across the primer is great if your brass lands vertically. It will allow you to distinguish your 38sc from your friend's brass. However, if you want an easier time finding your brass among the sea of 9mm, you need a circumferential mark around the case.
  4. I agree with not doing half-assed work. If other issues are found, notify the customer and let them decide to either: a) fix everything necessary or b) have the gun shipped back to them (at their cost) without doing anything Add an "inspection fee" that can be credited against any work done to avoid wasting time doing free diagnostic work
  5. I agree with most of what has been said but fitting a new barrel in a 5.01 year old, well maintained, single owner gun is not the same as resurrecting a “hack job” that happens to have an SVI rollmark.
  6. To the extent of my knowledge, there is no public range in Central Florida that will allow you to do what you want to do. For obvious liability reasons, public ranges are not allowing randoms off the street to pay $20 and set up a 32 round field course. Unless you have access to private land, you are going to need to join a club. Even with some of the member only ranges, there are restrictions. I would check the rules at WAC and Guncraft as they are more convenient to you in Tampa. Universal is a great facility, not sure of their member rules either. Volusia County Gun and Hunt Club is great but a bit far from you. They allow what you are seeking. However, I believe last shots are at 5pm or so. They have ROs on property at all times. This is the deal breaker for me as it eliminates the possibility of shooting after work CFRPC (I am a member) allows holster work, steel etc. on the action range after you have become a member and then taken a secondary qualification. Slightly annoying bur totally worth it. Range is open sunrise to sunset. Only issue here is that you have to get creative if you want to build a mini practice stage. The only thing that they provide are target sticks
  7. The Triple Crown: Six year old Necro post First post is a classified 40 cal Open Glock. well played
  8. It is still lost income with or without the “write off”

  10. Unless you have tried an open gun with a steel grip and a brass magwell, I suggest that you rethink the brass magwell option. IMHO, they are great on plastic grip guns but overkill on a beast like this.
  11. Does the Nemesis have "Custom tool paths"?
  12. Haha. I get it. I'm not in a real rush. Would like to use the time to feel the difference between the aggressive and extra aggressive grips
  13. Honcho shooters: Typically, how long after placing the deposit did you get the phone call from PT to finalize the build?
  14. Used to use just one in the overlap section in the back. This season I made my own ratchet belt out of a CR Speed belt. So much easier to get tighter.
  15. I think Patriot case makes a dedicated Honcho case. Will only fit 1 pistol but it has space for all the extras with the Honcho. Might be worth a look
  16. Despite using blue loctite and vibratite, I can't seem to keep the LoPro buttons tight. After losing two of them, I got an Arredondo and ground it to my desired shape
  17. Absolutely!!! We can not let the BOCs ruin USPSA.
  18. I had similar issues. I got a new station 1 locator and the problem went away
  19. I would like to shoot just one match in which EVERY stage is done to the best of my current ability...hopefully at Nationals!
  20. Not to hijack the thread but for ~2K, why not get a lightly used, custom gun with an SVI steel grip. I know where to find one
  21. I have the 8 moa. Still on the fence for the swamp challenge
  22. Still using it, without issues. It is on my backup gun now (long story). Primary has a Romeo 3 Max. I think I like the rounder shape of the Romeo slightly better but I think they are very comparable in quality. Probably made in the same factory!
  23. I bought one from RHT (the same as the Atlas belt). I also made my own with a strap and buckle from M2 and a CR Speed belt. I found a trick to prevent bunching up of the belt. I bought some 1.5" wide velcro on Amazon. It is single sided (sort of like a DAA inner belt). I cut a length of both the hook and fuzzy side of the velcro and put it on the outer belt velcro in the section where the 2 ends of the outer belt overlap each other. When I tighten the ratchet, the overlap-section can slide past each other and not bind. It has worked very well.
  24. I was talking about the price of supercomp brass fromprecision Delta. It is $145 per thousand as opposed to 160 per thousand from Starline. If and when I make the change to 9 major, I will definitely give ammobrass a look. Thx
