  1. Don't bother trying quad loading. Not sure if this was sarcasm but I wasn't trying. Yes sorry that was sarcasm. You must have a plug in the gun from the factory. Wear your safety glasses whine removing it. I disassembled the gun and I saw the end just hanging out, it slid out with no issues. Thanks!
  2. Thanks! I feel so dumb, why does stoeger put those in?Pretty much all field guns come with a limiting plug for waterfowl hunting.. This makes sense, first shotgun so I don't have much experience with them.

  5. I can't get more than 2 rounds in the tube of my factory m3000, any ideas?
  6. The new Mega 18" SS barrels weigh around 34oz, sub moa guarantee.
  7. next time you shoot, run 3-4 rounds of brass ammo in each mag. Let us know if it resolves your issue
  8. I built mine up with 13" KMR handguard as well. I have mine reprofiled too, so the balance is at a good point for me. I've shot Black Hills, Norma, Fiocchi, and Nosler, All either 69 or 77smk's and it'll get me to .5moa if I remember how to pull a trigger correctly. Quick internet search will show their generally regarded as a decently accurate barrel. I wouldn't put it up there with kreigers, liljas, etc. but it'll definitely get the job done. I think they're produced by criterion, which seem like a decent barrel maker. What barrel profile did you go with? what kind of reduction in weight?
  9. I was hoping someone would have one that they use for 3 gun, I'm really looking at getting a 18" SS KMR upper from them and this post pushed me over the edge.
  10. I was wondering why Ah, no-- look closely at your Stoeger shims. You can flip them around-- I did-- to pull the gun away from my (left-handed) face. I'd say this is a big selling point for the Stoeger that no one is mentioning. So yes, you can change the cast, though maybe not in the increments you desire. I'm hoping someone will make a fancier set of the shims, or something. But it worked for me. One trip to the range, and I got the cast and drop correct with the shims. Dead on at 16 yards, thrown to shoulder. Doesn't much matter for 3-gun, but it does for skeet and trap. I was wondering why the shims said R and L on them, I'm assuming the R side facing out will push the stock to the right?
  11. Another question, whats the general technique for putting the shotgun back on safe before dumping it? do you just use your thumb? or bring your trigger finger around?
  12. Put a layer or 2 of masking tape around the nut so it wedges into the socket wrench and it is easy to control until the threads start. That is my method too. For the washer... a phillips #2 with the washer on the shaft, put point on stock stud and slide washer onto stud. Damn, That is exactly what I did! I forgot until you posted it. It was one of those 'I've done enough weird stuff over the years that this didn't even register as doing anything special moments'! Man I did not expect to get such a big response, I love all the genius techniques!
  13. anyone have tips on reinstalling the stock? the stupid oval washer will be the bane of my existence
  14. I use the SERT 46" bag Rows of molle so you can add pretty much whatever pouches you want.
  15. Excellent first post, do you have anything to add to the discussion other than pimping mallninja.com? Thanks for the warm welcome. There is lots of great information on that forum, I'm not sure what's so "mall ninja" about it If that forum is so great then why are you here? No hello, nothing but directing the OP to a different forum. What did YOU add to the discusion? I'm here for the competition side of things, you can look a post or two up for my input. Also my introduction was posted shortly after.
  16. Make sure the gas block doesn't have a leak and that the gas system is in alignment and functioning correctly. the welded muzzle device will hinder troubleshooting, if you're going to rebarrel you might as well test the gun without it.
