Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Concern has been expressed to the match director that there may have been damage to the range at Brocks Gap in Birmingham due to the recent tornados and that the match is off. This is NOT the case. The 2011 Masters Championship will be held on May 14, 2011 as planned. Go to http://www.brocksgapidpa.com/ for more information.
  2. I would. I had to ding a guy at the Alabama State match for loading the wrong number of rounds in a mag. I know where a shooter will go to slide lock on my stages for every division.
  3. Here's one. From a class we took with Sevigny. Stan did more in his 49 years than I could do in 3 lifetimes. Randy

    Glock 21SF grip angle

The grip angle is the same as always. The hump at the bottom of the backstrap is smaller, that all. Similar issue with other Glocks. The full size, compact and sub-compact Glocks have a different grip feel due to the fact that Glock takes the grip length out of the top of the grip as the frame size goes down. The hump on the backstrap sits higher in the hand as the size goes down.

    Shooting to the Left

I had a problem with shots going toward the weak side. I found that I was tightning my grip just before the shot broke. When I got control of that the problem went away. Oh, btw, my sights are dead center.
  6. My IDPA load for 230gr RN is 4.2gr Titegroup. OAL 1.26. Out of a 5" 1911 it chronos around 745fps. I use the same load for RN lead, RN plated or RN jacketed.

    Reloading

Were you required to put three on the hard cover target? If so, you should have topped off before leaving cover. If you fired a makeup shot, you didn't leave yourself an out. The rules say you must reload behind cover if cover is available so I'd say you have to haul it to cover before you reload.

    Glock Holsters

I use Ready Tactical holsters pretty much for everything. www.pistolpacking.com
  9. I'm left handed, right eye dominant. I just turn my head to the left a little. Never felt that it was an issue. However, I shoot long guns off my right sholder.

    G21 In Idpa

I'm shooting my G34 in ESP right now, but I'll be shooting my G21 in CDP. I'd prefer to use my G37, but Unka Bill says its not a real .45. GRR
  11. Umm 200 gr lead and 200 jr jacket Lead requires less powder to get the same velocity. If its not generating more pressure than what is happening?? . Nope, lead requires less powder because its generating less friction. Less friction means more velocity with the same powder charge.
