  1. My rifle with JP yellow springs failed to light 1/10 S&B SRP. 100% with standard springs. S&B SRP are hard.
  2. I have the MOE on my SBR, and took the rubber butt pad off so it would slide up easier. My new rifle is set up like the OP's with the MFT. The rubber pad is perm. attached, and it does drag my shirt if I don't get it cleared far enough. I remember trap shooters had a spray that they put on their shotgun butt pads to make them slick on clothing. May look into it. I love the Taccom ULW barrel!
  3. I'm left handed too. I switched to a short mag release, solved my problem. You could also reverse it to the other side.
  4. Perfect example of us being our own worse enemy. Guys like that RO will ruin it for the rest of us. Please, PCC shooters, get a bag or cart, and loose the slings. They serve no purpose in USPSA, and should be specifically banned in the rule revision. A cheap bag is cheaper than that tacticool sling.
  5. You could buy the GMR15 then sell the upper. I'm sure you'd sell it quickly on the classified.
  6. You already admit that it would be difficult, so I take it you agree it wouldn't be competitive, you're just having fun. So just shoot it in open and have fun.
  7. Mags are measured empty. Did he empty it?
  8. I made A in Limited 15 years ago, then bought my first open gun. Been shooting dots ever since, not counting some dabbling in SS and Prod. for Battle in the Bluegrass. I recently bought another Ltd. gun, and shot one match. Sucked badly. My eyes have aged, so seeing the front sight is a struggle. And I can't shoot splits with the 40 like I can with the dot guns. I noticed the focus is entirely different with iron sights. With my open guns, I'm concentrating on the target, the dot just goes there. Can't shoot irons that way. I even thought about selling all my iron sight guns. For me, switching sight styles is a commitment.
  9. As I've said before, I must be the luckiest sumbitch shooting, cause I've used dozens of STI mags & tubes, slapped Grams guts & Dawson pads on them, & went shooting. No problems. I recently got 3 of the newest style STI tubes in 40, & they run perfectly. Pay your money, take your chances. As Sarge is hinting, nothing is guaranteed 100%.
  10. I have the ADM Scout X, same as the Recon, but with one lever instead of two. Holds zero just fine. Larue is more pleasing to the eye I think, but ADM is cheaper and works.
  11. Will this work with a regular barrel nut?
  12. I think they had to come up with something so the classifiers could be shot. That is just what was settled on. Not everything little thing has to be discussed. I don't recall discussion for start positions for any classifier for any division. Because they don't need to be.
  13. It specifies on Taccom's website that the ATI is fit with the NFA well.
  14. A plastic Evo grip is a great idea. I want an Evo for the shape, not necessarily for the weight. Somebody make one.
  15. He made mine out of carbon fiber in a 3D printer, but he had pics of the aluminum one in some threads. See if I can find it. I wanted a lighter than aluminum mag well.
  16. I bet bmiller here would make one from aluminum. Do you just not like the looks of the Taccom? Otherwise, they are very functional and inexpensive. I have 2, & a bmiller.
  17. I read somewhere that PSA is no longer selling Metalform, only ASC & C products. Must be why they had so many sales on them recently. Glad I got a couple dozen.
  18. The Rockcastle ProAm 3Gun traditionally gives a lamp with a commemorative base. Pretty neat.

    AA#7

When I started shooting USPSA in 1994, I heard of AA7 eroding barrels in only a couple thousand rounds. Anecdotal only. Don't know of many (or any) using it near me. Lots of good powders out there like HS6, Autocomp, Silhouette, to use a suspect powder.
  20. I like plaques. I hang all of mine in my "hallway of pride," until my wife needed space for her half marathon finishes. I stopped buy match shirts a long time ago, until the Techwear's came out. I had to have a couple of those. But $20 for a tshirt, pass. Nice thought, but I had too many. The plaques I do have, I'm very proud of. And I've gotten some great stuff from random draw prize tables. It's all good, I come for the shooting first. The prize table is 2nd.
  21. I also had to tweek the ejector on my PSA dedicated Colt style lower by using a nylon headed hammer and a couple strikes to move it to the right a little.
