  1. I guess if he can make after market hammers legal, he can define what a stock is or isn't. Curious Kevin what you based your interpretation that it wasn't a stock on. You must have had some kind of definition in mind before you verified it with Troy. I think you saw a KAK Shockwave Blade. It slides over the buffer tube. If you install it with intent to shoulder it, ATF defines it as a stock. If the guy at Ohio had it on a rifle, what made you think it wasn't a stock? What attributes does a stock have?

    Canik 23rd. Mags

First thing I did was gauge them, mine fit. I tried the factory 20rd. spring & could get 22. I wanted 23 because that is what I get in my EAA mags. Is it worth $18 for a Grams kit to get one more round? Maybe. Cool they are paying attention to the platform.
  3. My RMI friend said that's not the context that was written in. It's in reference to "no Sig Brace pistols shot as rifles". If I have a legal rifle, I can have a stock made of cardboard & bubble gum. A rifle is a rifle, "able to be shot from the shoulder".
  4. I don't remember the exact load, but it was my 147 production load with Blue bullets. It was 132pf in my Limited Pro. Thru a 16" Kaw upper that I don't have anymore, I was getting 128pf. I realize that is a sample size of one, but made me curious. I came across a thread here that said that was to be expected, so I assumed... I'd recheck it, but only have the ULW & a 10.5" SBR now. I'd enjoy seeing someone's real results.
  5. Southpaw nailed it. Doesn't matter what's on the buffer tube, matters if it's a pistol or rifle/SBR. You could put a Shockwave or Sig Brace on a rifle/SBR, and it would be PCC legal.

Don't know anything about Walthers. We're talking about Canik TP9SFX.

    new Canik TP9 SFX

If you change the striker spring to a Glock 6#, & the recoil to a Glock 15# on a factory or after market guide rod, the trigger will be better, the slide will not try to open, & you won't spend $80 on a questionable guide rod. Box stock, the gun is WAY oversprung for minor production loads. At a minimum, I'd suggest these spring swaps. With nothing else done, I'm at 3# on the trigger, lock up is tight.

    Canik 23rd. Mags

I started with Mec-gar made 18rd. Canik mags from AIM Surplus. They have a polished finish, but are otherwise the same tubes as the stock mags. From TF, I got the Grams spring kits for CZ mags made by Mec-gar, & the black +5 CZ base pads that have the retaining screw in the back. They are also available in red. Swap the spring/follower, slide on the CZ base pad, tighten the screw, done. I guess I got the last 2 Grams spring kits until they are restocked. They shipped me 2, I'm waiting on the 3rd one.
  9. If you change the striker spring to a Glock 6#, you'll be able to go to a Glock 15# recoil spring. I'm using a Glockstore Tungsten guide rod with a 15# spring. It will run minor ammo fine.
  10. I did. I thought, "wow, this thing transitions quickly." I noticed more dot movement, but it settles quickly. Being it is essentially a pistol barrel inside a shroud, your minor pistol ammo should have a similar PF. Tune the buffer system to the ammo you'll be using. I'm running some ammo just over the minor PF, and had to go to the Taccom ULW buffer system.
  11. Since the Elite has a shorter grip, either will work for production and fit in the box. For max capacity for CO, get the 18rd. mag, swap the guts to Grams, add the CZ +5 base pad. You'll get 23.
  12. Is it with one mag, or several? Number your mags so you can identify a problem child. If you isolate one mag, try swapping in parts from a known good mag to see if you can isolate the problem, or start over with a new spring kit. You could swap back to stock springs, but loose one round.
  13. I know, being a little smartalecky, but you said...any.
  14. The integral feed ramp on the Glock ULW barrel, used with the Taccom bolt, looks like the ultimate set up. Buddy built his wit hose parts, & it runs flawlessly.
  15. So it's SAO, so not really a replacement for the LimPro as far as Production & Carry Optics is concerned.

    Canik 23rd. Mags

Nope. Spring is long so I have to use a LULA, but mine works perfectly. You'll have $70 in a complete mag.
  17. I have no idea how to practice shooting at a flipper clay with a pistol. "#%*+ it, we'll do it live".

    Canik 23rd. Mags

I picked up 3 18rd. mags when I bought my TP9SFx. They were $6 cheaper than the 20rd. mags, and I knew I would want to get max capacity in a 140mm mag for carry optics. I've had great luck with Taylor Freelance base pads for other platforms, and they were $5 cheaper than TTI, and have fitted the gauge. I tried to trim the stock springs to get to 23, but the follower is just too tall to get it. TF carries Grams spring/follower kits for CZ mags, which is the correct base pad also. So, with CZ bases & Grams spring kits, the 18rd. tube holds 23 with a little room for easy loading on a closed slide. In case anyone is looking for an easy max capacity set up for CO.
  19. I never tried it with any other optic, but the Delta Point.
  20. A mag with ammo in it will drop out of the gun faster for the reload. And a full mag will add a lot of weight to help with recoil.
  21. My delta point triangle gets huge when held out at handgun length, but very small if on the back of an upper.
  22. It's actually opposite. The dot will appear smaller the closer it is to your eye, bigger the farther out. Try it.
