Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Does anyone know if there is a quality airsoft replica of a Hi-cap Caspian? Thank you in advance for the help.
  2. Thank you for the reply RayKu. I was contacted about the pouches and will be following up with the maker. I appreciate your help.
  3. Hey everybody, I just wanted to see if I could get an update on if/when an S_I version will be out. If there are no plans to make them, has anyone tried to see if an S_I mag wil fit the XD or Glock holder? Also, for those that already have them, has anyone tried a draw on one of these from the "over the buckle" position? Does it feel better/faster than say a 771 or Guga Ribas pouch in that position? Thank in advance for the help.
  4. Well, my dream caspian has just been put on hold for the next couple of years! I got notified the yesterday that I will be going to Turkey for at least two years. From what I have heard so far, any firearms with a rifled barrel are not allowed in Turkey. So I called and canceled my order with Caspian yesterday. I figured whats the point of having it built if it will be sitting in a safe a thousand miles away for two or so years. I will wait until I get back and then re-order. Who knows, maybe by then someone will come up with a gizmo for the 1911 that will turn me into the best shooter ever Would anyone happen to know if airsoft pistols are allowed into Turkey? I would really like to keep up my dry fire practice whole I'm over there.
  5. Hello all, I just found out today that I might be getting stationed in Turkey. Are there any pistol shooting sports in turkey? Any shooting sports at all? Thank you for the help in advance.
  6. Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I have my frame on order from Caspian and I will be sending it to Matt McLearn as soon as it gets in. I am going to have him install one of these.
  7. DirtyPool40, Who makes the Accu-Lok? I have to agree with you, I think it looks much better than the standard set up on a bull barrel gun.
  8. Thank 9Major, I was just wondering if the other route saved a substantial amount of money? Also, can the factory mags be made to hold more rounds and still be limited class legal? I have seen alot about the Arredondo and other folowers and base-pads. Are they just made for .40S&W or are they available in 9mm? Thank you for the help.
  9. YIPPEEEEEEE!!!!!!! I ordered my frame and 3 mags yesterday from Caspian. As soon as they come in I will be sending them off to Matt. Just thinking about this, Does anyone know if the promag can be made to work with 9mm? Thank you for the help.
  10. Could this have been caused by a low powder charge in the round. I was told by a friend who has been shooting and reloading for a long time that a low powder charge can cause a lot of damage. This is how he explained it to me: When a round is loaded with a powder charge that is low enough that the powder level runs below the primer when the bullet in horizontal ie.. in the chamber, then when the primer is ignited the sparks disperse over the top of the powder which causes the powder to burn from the top down. Instead of from back of the case to the front. He said this changes the way the force is applied by the gasses, it can cause the gasses to push up more than against the bullet. He showed me a revo with the top half of the cylider and the top strap blown completely off, and said that this is what caused the failure. Is this a viable possibility or should in brain dump this idea to make room for more useless info?
  11. Sincityshooter, can we get an update on how the Infinicoat finish is holding up? I will be having a gun built soon and would like to see if this is as durable as hard chrome. Thank you
  12. Bill, Thank you very much for the update. I have decided to have Matt build mine. I called and talked to him about it when I first saw yours. I told him that there were a few cosmetic things that I wanted done differently than yours and, like you said he seems more than happy to oblige. No thanks on the open gun though. I just shot my first USPSA match the other weekend and though I have been shooting and competing in other matches for a while now I am going to have this gun built in 9mm for learning purposes. Later when I am good enough that the only thing keeping me from winning matches is the fact that I am shooting minor, I will have Matt build me one in .40 and turn this one into an open gun. Right now I am just not that good and since I can shoot the 9mm in so many other local matches and the ammo is so cheap, that is what I am going with. Thanks again, Joe.
  13. Bill can wen get an update on how your pistol is doing? I am ordering a High cap Caspian frame for father's day and I would like to know how your gun is performing because I am thinking of sending it to Matt to have it built. Thank you
  14. Thanks XRe. Also, which type get a higher mag capacity in the 140mm tubes? And does anyone know if a pistol built on a Caspian race ready high cap frame with a bushing barrel will make the weight limit for IDPA ESP?
