  1. Wow that's crazy. Just do what Sarge said... I get real good consistent throws out of my powder hooper. I don't get why people (my friend) disable certain functions on the press to use it.
  2. get a mr bulletfeeder. And don't look back. If you follow the vids that they have posted online you'll be ok..
  3. thanks for the heads up..I am gonna take it slow and easy..
  4. I never tried Longshot does it meter well? Like titegroup or like other ball powder..
  5. Hey guys I am about to buy a rowland conversion for my springer 5" ..I am gonna buy a box or two of Rowlands ammo to try out then buy some starline brass..I haven't decided witch powder to use or bullet type yet..I would like to keep the fps in the 1300 range. The purpose for the rounds are to destroy stuff at the range (fruit sodas any thing really) those of you that have any experience I appreciate any feedback..
  6. Once i ran out of 231 or hp 38 and coudnt fine any i Just made the swicth to titegroup because that's all I could find at the time.. It meters the same and last longer..at first I was hesitate. I didn't want to use a hot powder but once I figured it out. Its well worth the switch.
  7. I think it's good for the manufacturer to hear from the people who buy the presses.. feedback is always good. Regardless of good or bad comments. It gives directions. That's how things improve
  8. Customer service speaks volumes in today's society. One of the reason why I will continue to buy springfield armorys firearms is because of there customer service. They don't mess around there on top of it. I like the fact that a company stands behind there equipment and offers a No BS . Keep up the good work team blue..
  9. Yes I have called dillion last year for a couple of issues and they were top notch NO BS ... I called yesterday for some advice. and the answers were add more grease. really.
  10. I am sure it can made to work with the existing mold..just the other day I was playing with my 6yr old cops and robbers with his toy guns. And let me tell you. They have leds all kinds of moving parts and there loud and annoying. And last a few months of agony on two AAA batts.
  11. Vibration, movement in your bench/mount, brass dragging on the locator, brass with a primer partially sticking out, a piece of media or dirt stuck under the case, operating the machine too quickly, a burr on the locator, you name it, lots of things can cause a piece of brass to tilt. thanks for the pointers
  12. What causes the tilting? ? I am having the same issue. .
  13. I haven't experienced that and my springer has about 30k thru it with win primmers.. I have seen it on the 1911 forum thou. Heres my breech face and batch of primmers lot #.. i will inspect all my used primmers..
  14. I haven't tried one shot. I will have to. ...I do have the dillion lube..I live in the desert. And it's always windy.
  15. What don't you like? Smoother operation? Easier on the equipment? Easier on your body? More consistent OAL? Fewer case gauge rejects? it's messy.. don't like having gummy dies after long sessions.. also i live in a dusty environment so if I leave my brass out for a few hours it will be covered in dust that a simple wipe down can't clean. don't get me wrong I lube for rifle loading. just don't use it for my pistol. Dillion carbide dies work great
  16. Yes instead of dawn use maguires. Like listed above dawn cleans the brass to good....I actually learn this from a member over at the 1911 forum. I was having the same issue till I switched. . I don't like using lube on pistol brass...
  17. Your only supposed to tumble for 3 hours max..I do about one and a half hours .
  18. I also wet tumble and had the same issue.. use maguire s car wash soap with the wax. It leaves a thin film of wax and stops the sticking
