  1. Thanks everyone! I reread the instructions and it mentions a bushing in the “what comes with a caliber conversion” and again deep in the manual in the parts diagram. Never would have seen it. Works much better with the bushing! Thank you! Feel very silly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I’ve been loading 9mm on my new 750 Semi successfully. Only issue I have is the cases do not always drop into place. I attached a video for reference. [/ URL] Any help is appreciated. Currently loading slower than on my 550. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Also doesn’t work well with lead. I didn’t think about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I’ve not been out there yet. Ohio valley I passed almost daily so I would sneak over for lunch or before getting boys from School. Going to have to check out billet ranch next winter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I used to shoot at Ohio Valley I ip they closed. I’ve also shot at a club in Circleville. With two young kids, I haven’t really been shooting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hello josh! Also from central Ohio. Haven’t shot competition in a few years, but their are some good places around here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks for the feedback everyone. This stage in life I am not shooting as much as I would like, but with two young boys I hope to be shooting with them soon. 650 seems like a good investment long term and a great companion to the 550. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I currently have a 550 that is serving me well. I am finding however that I rarely switch it over to other calibers because I always want it ready to load 9mm, the caliber I shoot the most. I am almost ready to pull the trigger on a second press, a 650, but wonder how difficult it is to jump back and forth between the two different presses. I just wonder if after loading on the 650, will I forget to manual index the 550 or place a case. Or is it much like driving a manual then driving an automatic. You may occasionally hit the brake trying to press the non existant clutch, but other than that its not that different. Thanks Sean
  9. I know this is an old thread, but I know many of the contributors are still active. Thank you for putting my mind at ease while looking at w 650 and talking about cleaning my primer tubes. I had not read that. Only loaded on a 550 so far, and no issues, but next chance I get to speed time loading, I'm actually going to be cleaning!
  10. That’s a good idea! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Sarge, Is there a place on the die I could mark with a sharpie or something to estimate the two different bullet depths? Slvr that is a good idea! Could mark the threads and lock rings to get them to the right place every time. Cheaper than second tool head setup which was my first, expensive, idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I’m am starting to load two different bullets on a regular bases. Both coated lead, one is 124 and the other 147. I was toying with the idea of a micrometer seating die to reduce switch over time. Originally I was looking at the Redding but for half the cost I could get a hornady seating die with their micrometer stem. Is the for my purpose is the Redding worth the extra money? Is there something I’m overlooking that I could also do with my current LEE die that I could do for less? Thanks Sean Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I know many people love them. I do believe it could have been user error, but I couldn’t seem to find the answer to get it dialed in. I love the 550, and glad I tried it before giving up on reloading. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I started with a lee classic turret and it almost got me to give up on reloading too soon. Not sure what I had wrong in the setup, but it always took me 2 hours to load 100 rounds. I think most of it was priming related. Once I got a 550, I had no more issue. This year I picked up a Rock Chucker and part of me wishes I would have started there. For the volume I was shooting at the time, it would have been fine. And I use it for small volume calibers where change overs can add up on the 550. I don’t need that much 50 ae or 308. If you can find someone local who has a 550 or Lee classic turret that’s willing to mentor, that would be great. My mentors all had single stages. One now had a lee classic turret, and primes off the press Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I was wondering the same recently. Got my 550 the way it should BE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I made the same switch a few years back. the lee classic turret almost got me to give up on reloading. 550 has been wonderful Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Good to know! I was a bit worried about pressures loading over published but it seems to be working fine. I am up to 3.2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I thought I would update this thread after using the magnetospeed v3. I really like how it interfaces with pistols. Nice, simple and reliable. It's also easy to get to the range and set up. The downside is I load with coated lead bullets. The magnetospeed doesn't read them well unless the gain is up high and your using a gun with a low bore axis. Once I learned that it works great. I found out the the load data I was using is not giving me published results. Wouldn't have know why I was having issues without it. Downside is it doesn't work on all handguns, so you may still need something else. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. Just need to talk a friend into getting a different style for my short barreled revolvers and desert eagle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Finally got to the range with cronograph. Average 832 fps. With 147 grn does that mean my pf is 122 for IDPA. Need to look in the manual to see what fps I should get. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Wow, thanks guys. The only published loads for titegroup and 147 LRN is 2.6-2.9. I thought I was pushing it at 3. Going to try a few 3.1 and 3.2 and see what changes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. That was confusing, I'm sorry. Reworked it. Not great at writing things on my phone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I feel your pain with the phone. Autocorrect leaves a lot to be desired. There are lots of things that could cause function problems. Overall length can be a problem for sure. Before blaming the ammo I would do a deep clean on the pistol to get all the manufacturing lubes off and remove any chips etc. Also do the plunk test with each barrel to see if there is chambering trouble. Once you know the pistol is clean and the ammo fits, then you can tinker. I like to do break in the 115 grain ball ammo. Most guns will run it fine and it's cheap to load. Hope this helps Plunk test is good. Did some inspection but need to reoil. I'll have a chance to fire this week hopefully and reply back. Have 9mm NATO just in case Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. I'm running the above with an OAL of 1.15 and 3 grn TG. Manual says make is 2.9. I have over 1000 rounds of this load in m&p's and glocks without issue. However none of those were new when I started using this load. This year I have tired it in a few new guns, a SIG 320, 226 Legion and a Beretta px4 storm. The legion had no issue. The 320 would not run until I put 75 rounds of factory rounds though it. The px4 Storm ran fine for 15 rounds then started to have failure to feeds. Is this load not strong enough to break in a new gun or is this normal? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Wow that is a great picture and I finally know what to look for as an issue! Looks scary! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Black hand thank you! I was concerned because I had not seen it before. Hi-power jack, I am not sure yet. Need to crono. Grumpy, thanks. I uploaded the wrong photo. But I've not seen flattening and feared that's what I was starting to see Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
