From the pic you sent it doesn't look like a chip. It looks like something made contact with the bottom of your slide. We have been using the same guy for hard chrome for years. He is one of the best in the business. We will know more when we get it back in house.

Thanks all! Dustin, I dimly remember the Aristocrat manual in the box. Thus far, I've only had one session at the range. Clearly I have some more homework here to do here, I still want to replace the front sight, but it's more for visibility at this point. Before I do that, I'll look more at the rear sight. The Target Master isn't your normal sight setup. This formula does not work. The rear sight is taller than most of the typical 1911/2011 sights.

The Target Master has the Aristocrat rear sight. Have played with the screw on the right side of the rear sight? It will raise and lower the whole rear sight. You will have to back out the three set screws on top of the sight also. This sight was designed to do exactly what you want to do. There is no reason you should have to replace it. If you replace the front sight you may run into issues with having enough adjustment. I'm not sure if Dawson offers a front FO that is tall enough, but that would be the first place I would call. I would think we would still see a few more go out before that. I know one of the gun smiths has 4 at his bench as wee speak.They should go out within the next week or so.

Hey guys. I know there are open guns being hard chromed now. There is usually a 2-3 week turn around. Im not sure when they went out. I will try to get more info today. For those of you who are having issues with the lighter loads these guns are fit and then hard chromed. They will be a little tight at first. After a few hundred rounds they should start to eat the lighter stuff up no problem. If you for some reason are still having an issue contact us and we will do whatever we can to help. My fist hard chromed STI was a steelmaster and I ran 600 rounds through it before it was 100% It was frustrating but worth it in the end.

I find it very hard to believe that the DVC will not accommodate longer OALs like the Edge. Maybe Dustin can clarify for us? There is no geometry change between the two pistol that I am aware.

I only deal in domestic sales. I would contact your dealer/importer for better info. Sorry I don't have more info for you...... Dustin

Those are all open guns. We have the same setup running today for limited guns. We run both everyday. These are not the guns that were waiting on barrels. There will be a lot of DVC'S being shipped over the next few months. We are doing the best we can with the small work force we have. Thanks for being patient. Dustin

I don't have the exact count. There looked to be a good amount of open barrels coated.

They are gone. We have no plans to bring them back in the future. Dustin

You won't wait as long as you think. we have had 160 guns built of various DVC'S. We were still building guns without a barrel coating supplier. We are getting barrels back from the supplier every week. Be patient your time is coming.

More open guns will ship next week.

Open guns have shipped.... I can't say how many or to who, but we have shipped two for sure on Thursday.

The DVC's should have two 140 mags. If it doesn't contact me and I will get you another one ASAP!
