Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I shoot quite a bit of clays. I have a couple of Guerini's - one a sub-gauge 30" O/U that I mostly shoot sporting in 28Ga and 20Ga (Mostly 28Ga). I started out shooting mostly trap and skeet with a 32" Beretta 682 Gold E Sporting 12Ga. I really liked the 682GE, which I still own. It's a very light O/U for a 32" gun. Bought it used in Houston at a Gander Mountain. The drop fit me just right for trap. It is a natural pointer. All I can say is that 682GE is never leaving my safe!
  2. I boight a +5 Nordic Components tube extension and cut the mag spring to the indicated 16" past the end of the tube. Initially with dummy rounds and then with live firing this has proven reliable. How much more have folks cut down the mag tube spring to make it easier to load? Just curious.
  3. Ok, No responses, so I looked at the rear stock again. I was able to fit an allen wrench into the swivel stud hole and unscrewed the metal insert. Then it became obvious that it was a quick-detach swivel cup. I was able to use a gile sling coupled with a nordic components QD attachment to the barrel/mag tube clamp. And also figured out that if you want an old-fashioned swivel stud, the above part number C5E053 also screws into the buttstock and works well.
  4. Hi, Does anyone know the correct part number for a Beretta 1301 Comp rear swivel stud? Brownell's told me C5E053 and it's too big to screw in the socket. Thanks in advance!

  6. What about lefties? On a 1911 I use my trigger finger, extended, to swipe down on the slide release if I reload after a lock-back on empty.
