  1. VV 3N38, CFE pistol, shooters world major pistol, silhouette, I've also used 800x when powder was short but it's like metering waffles... Lol. I'm sure there's more.
  2. I would load it like an open gun. From what I've read the ports act very similar to a comp. I would load a few all over and see What works. You may find light load shoots softest and the heavy charge gives too much recoil and dot movement. I'm sure once you find the sweet spot you will know it. Best of luck! Please keep us posted!
  3. Another thing you could try is a 90g bullet and some really slow powder like AA9 or H110. No pf just needed, but a case full of slooooow stuff n a light bullet would work the holes pretty well. Thybrid barrel? Can you post a pic of it? Is it the one that was on sale here? I think it was all silver with a 6in barrel. 2 or 3 round holes and 2 or 3 square?
  4. The velocity is fine if that's what concerns you. There is published data for longshot pushing a 180g bullet 1159fps at max load. It's more about pressure. What powder and what OAL. If you don't see pressure signs like Bulged cases flat primers I don't see why you would have any issues. Are you loading for limited? The PF seems a bit high but if it runs accurate and you like the recoil impulse, run it.
  5. My only advice would be to look closely at the frame. If para or Caspian frame the mount area is a bit thin. If there is a red dot mount attached to the frame, with the pressure 9x25 generates, that would be the most common point for failure.
  6. Cz custom sells extra barrels. Getting a new czechmate slide would be the issue.
  7. https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/e3-for-pistols.539559/ This may give you a ballpark? This said 10% less than red dot data. Unfortunately allliant doesn't list .40 data on the website for red dot either. Again not much help I'm afraid. I'm sure someone can chim in here. For what it's worth if it can be safely loaded with a heavier bullet, that can give a ballpark starting point for a lighter one. 160 and 140g bullets are pretty light and not often loaded for .40 major. Most .40 major use 180g or 200g. Basically as heavy as possible with the lightest load to get the desired velocity.
  8. Welcome! There is a lot of great reloading information available here. A majority will be for competitive shooting so some of the data and terms may not apply for you. Alot of the .40 s&w load data here will be what's called .40 major basically a load designed for a bullet of a certain weight to travel a certain speed. Some may be loaded longer for 2011 style magazines and to get these velocities safely. I'm afraid I don't have any relating data to share at the moment. I've never used E3 powder. Are you looking for a soft shooting load, something that will cycle a factory spring, something else? The forum had a search feature but if you Google "enos E3 load data" it may be easier. Just be sure your on the .40/10mm area. I think some people use E3 in 9mm as well.
  9. It is. I can file the opening on the magwell itself and get it to fit but it's going to take a lot of time. Wasn't sure if anyone here had something similar to this. Perhaps has a simpler solution or tips on what to do other than time and a hand file.
  10. Spot that's too wide shown in red.
  11. Hello all. I picked up a small frame silver team on GunBroker. Just got it from my FFL today. I ordered a Henning magwell and a few parts that got here today as well. I have 3 other tanfoglio pistols and I've never had an issue with the magwell. It just slides on. This one won't fit on this frame. The lip seems to be wider on the one. I can file the magwell opening a bit but I'm not sure if anyone has any tips or tricks? Anyone run into something similar? Thank you! Pics for attention.
  12. Sorry I was mistaken. I know a few companies make 140mm pads. If you have tubes. Armscor/ rock Island runs on the same mags. I've not seen much specifically for the 45acp.
  13. Mbx makes 140mm for para. There are a few companies who make 140 pads that will fit the magwell. Although I can't recall if they make 140mm in 45. I know they do for 40 and 9/38.
  14. Personally loaded to the same PF I can't tell a difference in a few open guns. 3N38 is a LOT cleaner but its also more $ per pound so for me I would rather clean the gun more often. If you can find it, pick up a pound and load some up. Do a blind test and see what you think. You may like the 3n38 better?
  15. Thats amazing. Its always such a pleasant surprise when your expectations get surpassed and it really makes the wait worth it. It really is a gorgeous knife! Sent from my SM-J727T1 using Tapatalk
  16. Wow that turned out beautiful!! Sent from my SM-J727T1 using Tapatalk
  17. Man I love that blade pattern! Sent from my SM-J727T1 using Tapatalk
  18. Damn that's beautiful! Sent from my SM-J727T1 using Tapatalk
  19. I like it I haven't been able to mess w it too much. It's my wife's. I really like it a lot but she hid it so I cant carry it any more. Lol. If ur looking for a really nice balisong Google OSP MTRX. Books close Friday and they are pricey but damn they are gorgeous! Just a heads up if u find one u like and it's in stock buy it. All the good ones sell out VERY fast. Like hours. So you may have to wait for the next "drop" follow manufacturers on Instagram and Facebook. Sign up for email alerts too. Anything but benchmade sell out super quickly. 2nd hand market may be your best bet for some of them. Here's a few replacement blades I'm working on getting made. Just need my computer back from repair before I can CAD model them. Sent from my SM-J727T1 using Tapatalk
  20. I have a thing for balisongs and fixed blades. :-) hopefully I'll be able to make a few custom blades here soon. I have a friend who works at a place with a cnc plasma cutter. I have a few designs that I need to put to CAD here as soon as my laptop gets fixed. Sent from my SM-J727T1 using Tapatalk
  21. My razor should be here today. I'm really hoping that it will run well. I like the warranty on it. I'm excited to see how this works out. Sent from my SM-J727T1 using Tapatalk
  22. I'll update this a bit. Lol. Sent from my SM-J727T1 using Tapatalk
  23. I forgot what load I was using in that gun. I sold it a few years ago. Switched to tanfoglio. That being said HS-6 is really popular, I'm sure you will be able to find plenty of data here on the forum. Sent from my SM-J727T1 using Tapatalk
  24. Gun looks pretty flat to me. At least it recovers really quickly. Have you tried different loads? To me WAC was snappy. I tried AA#7 3N38 & HS-6. 3N38 & HS-6 where both great but side by side I couldn't tell a difference. HS-6 was cheaper. So that worked for me. AA7 & HS-6 seem to be pretty awesome for me. I know you wanted to stick with the same load. Perhaps try the same powder and 115g bullets? Back to the same load and the original question. Side lighting may help a bit. Perhaps have them add a few poppet holes? 3 holes up top or a V4 or so would help and you could use the same load. ( may have to go up a few 10ths?) Please keep us updated! Edit to add: I had a trubor set up a d really liked it. I had 3 poppet holes and it really seemed to help. Sent from my SM-J727T1 using Tapatalk
