  1. I found some at my local ace hardware store. They where longer than what I needed but they had multiple lengths.
  2. Chuck them. There is a few head stamps that do that. The case can split and leave a nice ring o brass still stuck in the chamber. They may be ok for low pressure but if loading 9maj definitely toss!
  3. For the S2 patriot defense makes a barrel and comp set up that's really nice. They could do all the work really. I'm not positive on the optic issue but I'm sure there is optic plates. The X5 may be a bit easier as far as parts and availability. Lots of 1/2x28 comps for pistols. Tanfo may have more weight. Probably a better trigger in the end. I don't know a lot about the sign but I've built a few Tanfos
  4. Thank you all. Got the barrel fit and all set! Greatly appreciate the help!
  5. Regular sp01 not a shadow. It is a steel guide rod. I haven't had a chance to measure the OD yet. Cz factory SP 01 threaded barrel. I'm not going to remove anything off the lugs. It just seems like the lugs are not sitting as deeply. I really didn't mess with it much last night. I dropped it in and once I hit a problem, I removed it and started looking for videos on how to fit. 4 day weekend this week planning on messing with it then.
  6. Agreed. I have read fitting cz barrels is more in the hood and the lugs are good. Just not something I'm 100% on. Definitely not wanting to remove any material until I'm positive. Planning on going REALLY slow and checking often. Thank you everyone!
  7. I believe if I can buff a little off the ribs it should fit. I want. To measure everything before I remove any material but it seems the new one sits just a hair higher than the factory one.
  8. Thank you. I'll give that a try. I found one but it wasn't in English and I just gave up trying to watch it.
  9. Hello all, I finally got my hands on a factory threaded SP 01 barrel. It drops in and seems to hook up pretty well, the barrel sits almost exactly where the stock one does however I can't get the guide rod to go in. It will fit without the recoil spring but it's just a hair off with the Spring no matter how much I wiggle or try. Are there any good videos or older posts?out there about how to fit an SP 01 barrel? Thank you all!
  10. Stock 2 bull barrel. Lim pro is straight barrel.
  11. Gunpartscorp has tanfoglio comps. They only have steel 2 port comps left. I think they are M14x or M13.5x but for 9/38 that's all they have left. I just purchased an old 9x21 Tanfo and that is all they have. They have .40 3 port aluminum comps. I'm not sure if they will run as well but it's something I plan on trying. I'm not sure on barrel fitting as far as czechmate or TS barrels. I would look and see what you can find on cz custom. I know the sp01 uses a different OD than the cz 75 I think the OD is listed. That may help a little bit with compatibility and bushing. Also all the new tanfoglio comps are cone comps.
  12. I believe with most factory shooters unless they have a special gun for open they run a 2011 hi cap. It may be built by Taurus smith's? At least that's what it looks like when I zoom in on the pics from Google. Although, a G3 or something like that in open would be funny stuff
  13. The PD I got didn't fit. I was thinking about just decking the frame, so when the magwell needs replaced I'm good to go. Canyon Creek made a weld on if I ever find one I'll pick one up. The egw weld on was 3 sided right? Similar to an older 1911 style?
  14. Thank you. No I forgot both. Looking at the list I knew I forgot something!
  15. Crap... Well I'll give it a try. I figured it was just a pinned safety. The description didn't mention anything other than it offered no safety function.
  16. Hello everyone. I have a complete upper and a Cheely XWF open frame. I also have a complete STI grip w mag release and mainspring housing. I just ordered the following parts. Am I missing anything? Thank you all!
  17. I have a question for anyone who has used SWMP and AA7. I've read SWMP is a tad slower and needs a heavier charge. Out of the 2 powders, what is your preference? I have several lbs AA7 but really want to try SWMP. Thank you
  18. I'm very happy. I just need to get some time to hit the range
  19. I went with a patriot tactical barrel and. Comp. Haven't. Had a chance to go to the range yet but it's a work of art! Lone star innovation comp but it's an 11/16x40 threaded barrel so 2011 comps work.
  20. 115g I believe. I sold the gun and I can't remember what load I was using. Lol I'm loading for a different gun now and doing a load ladder for this one.
  21. For me, personally I ran 3n38 and AA7 side by side at the same pf and I couldn't tell any difference. AA7 is dirty 3N38 is clean but the cost difference and availability for me made me switch to aa7
