  1. I’ve been researching Gun Kote by KG Industries. Seems like pretty excellent stuff. I think the Navy or the Marines uses this coating exclusively.
  2. AFAIK, there isn’t anywhere you can purchase a slide only. Possibly from an individual, but no dealers, distributors, or shops.
  3. The deeper cut is one of the reasons I really like the Shadow 2.
  4. Encyclopedia, I tell ya. You should get paid, John.
  5. I really loved my Stock 2s, besides all the various reliability issues I had with them, including extraction. I mean, they felt so good in the hand, looked handsome, shot very accurately. But damn, so many issues. Good luck buddy. I hope it works out for you, as it has for many others. It wasn’t worth all the trouble for me.
  6. No, I totally get it. But whilst running a business, stuff happens. I’d rather under promise and over deliver than the other way around.
  7. When the time comes, I’ll help you out.
  8. Sweet, man. Glad to hear it. I’m right around 20 months for my 2nd. 18-24 months wait times? SVI should close their books and catch up some.
  9. I do not think this is possible right now.
  10. Yes, but I'll probably end up selling that one as a catch and release. Maybe the one I have right now too. I'm sort of more interested in Single Stack lately, instead of Limited. Also, I got a couple of talented kids that are draining my wallet with all their expensive training. But that's life as a dad.
  11. I’m pretty confident that the Accu Shadow makes weight with all the popular red dot sight options with a milled slide. If you plan on using a dovetail mount, I’m not as confident that all will make weight, but some still will, if not most.
  12. I don’t know from personal experience, but by all the accounts I’ve read and heard, the TSO is gtg right out of the box w/ a sub-2# trigger. Lightest trigger I’ve read of is 1# 9oz, which would be too light for me.
  13. So...you’re saying your still buff...
  14. John, you’re a Tanfo encyclopedia.
  15. Bullseye guys don’t ever clean their guns. It “messes” them up.
  16. That's exactly right. Given the same trigger pull weight, an “optimized” Tanfo trigger takes less to get started in DA and experiences a slight stack before the wall and break. A CZ trigger takes more weight up front to get moving then glides right into the wall and break. I don’t think anyone who’s gripping nice and tight and pressing the trigger relatively hard would significantly notice the characteristic differences of the triggers when the buzzer goes off, though. I think ergonomics, proper recoil spring weight for your loads, would play a bigger role. @waktasz, didn’t know you shot 40 minor in Production. No wonder your videos show hardly any recoil. Just thought you had some monster grip pressure or something. Now I know.
  17. It’s pretty sound. J~ you have a major case of FOMO. Lol. I think you’re a pretty good shooter right out of the gate. Think where you might have been with just a year under your belt if you wasn’t such harlot. Hahah just teasing ya.
  18. Sheesh, you sound like pistol harlot. Honestly, I loved the way the Stock 2 felt in my hand as well. And I would’ve kept with it instead of moving onto the Shadow 2 if not for the discouraging experience with its reliability, or the lack there of, on my first and second exposure to the platform. FYI, CZC might, might, miiiight, have the whole Shadow 2 weight thing figured out for CO. Time will tell, but pretty cool if it can happen.
  19. I don't think the Shadow 2 is a crappy gun like you say. Perhaps CZ is having quality control issues, which is very unlike them historically. If there truly is an issue, hopefully they get it all sorted out, but it’s impossible for any company to produce anything at a 100% quality control level. And if there truly is an issue, hopefully it stays over there in Europe or wherever you are.
