  1. Here is the common lineup side by side
  2. Yes, for the Limcat RTS2 mount it (The mount) will need to have the clearances changed for the front of the optic to fit. Call them for options. It will not drop right on the Limcat mount. Here is the Max next to the XL
  3. I was having the same issues with my 155’s and 38 SC,... I talked to Adrian (great knowledge and customer service!!) about a few things and after letting them sit for 2 weeks loaded, one runs 100% with zero changes. One was not 100%, I tried the GRAMS guts and It ran great, but have only got to try it for one stage so far. But that makes me believe the mag body works great. Probably just too much spring tension at first with the MBX when they are new. Afterwords I put the MBX guts back in and loaded it up again for a week. Hopefuly that one will be 100% from now on also.
  4. Oakley Prism Trail (RX for me) for the win!! At the Oaky store they recommended I bring in my Dot (off the gun of course) and dry fire target and see what worked best,.. then they let me take a few pairs outside in the sun to be sure. They just held my license. Most of the rages I shoot at have dirt burms and gravel base so they are perfect. Only when looking directly into the sun are they too light. I have a pair of Dark Polarized for those stages/days.
  5. I do, after running them both on Open and PCC I. Prefer the XL on the Open and Max on PCC. The bezel on the Max seems smaller (thinner) and the XL has more field of view in the glass/bezel.
  6. You already said the Taccom, The Anderson is ok, a great cheaper one is the Aero Precision 6.5 oz slick side upper https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/ar15-stripped-upper-receiver-no-fa
  7. I know one person that has got away with it,... but I personally know 4 that have failed short stroking an aluminum slide. If anything try replacing all steel weights with Tungsten and maybe One (105) spring weight down,... possibly 2 (the 308 #100). Nothing wrong with shortening the spacer (if you use one) and putting it between the SCS and spacer. I do like the Short Stroke SCS tuned to your load, rifle and liking. I run mine with all steel weights and the 100 spring. Works great in my particular set up. Maybe you can wait till JP offers the kit to go from a gen2 SCS to the Short Stroke.
  8. Amazing and great job!!! Both of these are 5lbs, the one on the left drops to 4.76lbs without the optic(Aluminum Cmore), I had mine at 5lbs as well,... now it is almost 5lbs 12oz with a Holosun, 14” handguard with a stop, Jp 3port comp, adjusable cheek riser, second optic and offset mount.
  9. I have both, the HD is a bit stiffer and the dampening is a bit more. To be honest I could not tell the difference with 125-135pm loads(115 or 124's) and extra power 223 spring,.... with 145pf 115's I can tell. With a 308 rifle spring I could not tell any difference. Typical load, fast powder and 115's, 140+pf.
  10. Out of the 10 or so I have put on, I have yet to have any come loose!
  11. Smoke Composites are the best all around in my opinion. They have six (6) screws that attach it.
  12. I have more than a few aluminum slide 4 cariers that blew the ring land off and the SCS blew apart from people trying to short stroke them.... I would try the two steel and two tungsten weights (mentioned above) with a wave spring under a shortened stock spacer and a 105 spring, or my favorite 4 tungsten weights and a 105 (red/blue) spring. My favorite of all of them is a steel slide 5 (the short stroke 5 weight) with all steel weights with a 100 (308) spring and a wave spring at the back of the stock with a delrin plug trimmed between the wave spring and SCS. The 5 tungsten weights "felt" slow to me even with 115's.
  13. What have you used? I use: Sport Pistol N320 Even the WST* & N310 *WST is not recommended for 9mm by Hodgden With 115 & 124's with JP Bolt and SCS, 14.5" and 16" barrels
  14. I have over 20k rounds on a JP firing pin and replaced it before a section match to be confident. Going to put it back in and see how long it will last. note: I have alwase ran a JP trigger with it and rifle primers. Another rifle with the Hiperfire broke a FP quickly. The onley ones (JP Firing pins) I have seen brake had a Hiperfire trigger in them. GReat trigger,... but hits HARD enough for igniting hard rifle primers,.... Typical JP, it was still working and they are standing behind it!
  15. What bolt & buffer setup are you using?
  16. I have the Hyperfire Eclips and the JP Armageddon, JP is my favorite and a better value imo when you get the saftey as well. Best saftey I have found so far. Yes, the JP requires proper instalation and adjustment, but once it is dialed in it is phenomenal! Shortest pull and reset I have felt. https://www.jprifles.com/1.4.8.4_roller.php Many do love the Hyperfire, and it is a great trigger as well. Find somwone with a JP GMR and shoot it, then someone with a 24c and decide what you like best.
  17. JP, they just work!!! A GOOD 7000+ rounds through the one in the match gun.
  18. I run the full JP armagedon trigger kit with yellow springs and federal small rifle primers, no light strikes. all spp go bang!.
  19. Order the JP 14.5" and tactical comp and be done.
  20. Homemade case lube of liquid lanolin and alcohol sprayed on the inside and outside works well also, just let it evaporate for a day afterwards. Air nozzle, like you do for bike or motorcycle grips,
