    Extended Chokes

Use LM and Mod for everything. Not good enough for it to really matter yet. If I cant hit it with these chokes, won't hit it with full either. But I ONLY shoot sporting
  2. Maybe contact the people at Nordic to see if they make the parts you'll need to turn it in to an open gun. Guess I'll be buying an M2 in 12ga and a cheap u/o in 20g for the pheasants based on what i can find on the interweb thingy there are no speed loaders / arredondo speed assist bracket etc are available. Nor can the Cordoba take a mag extension:angry:
  3. I need a new shotgun and like my rifle it has to do double duty as a field gun for hunting as well as for 3 gun. Have been looking at a 20g Benelli Cordoba with comfortech stock and ported barrel, Like the gun BUT can you fit extended mag and speedloader bracket to it. if so who makes them. Reason for 20g is that here in NZ we must use steel shot for hunting waterfowl unless we are huntng with a guage of 20 or less and I prefer to use lead shot rather than steel. If we are shooting upland game in a stream bed using a 12g with lead and a duck pops up we are not allowed to shoot it unless we first exchange the lead ammo for steel, where as with a 20g or less I can just shoot it. Go figure Cheers for the replies
  4. This was sent to us just after we lost both our "girls" within 5 weeks of each other, both aged 14 years. We have no kids so they were ours, In the 14 years they blessed us they always had my wife or me with them Although we now have a new "boy" we still miss them every day. Seemed like only yesterday we picked them up as puppies. Anyway here it is The Rainbow Bridge Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...

Can you get ADI Powder in the US Many of the powders sold under the Hodgdon brand in the USA are made by ADI Ltd. in Australia. If you can’t find a recommended load for a particular Hodgdon powder in your caliber, download the latest ADI Smokeless Powders Handloaders Guide, a 2.8 megabyte Acrobat file. Here’s a list of ADI to Hodgdon Powder equivalents from another website (ADI Hodgon Powder Comparison) ADI / Hodgdon Propellants ADI Powder/Hodgdon naming AS30N.................Clays Trail Boss.............Trial Boss AS50N.................International AP70N.................Universal AR2205...............H4227 AR2207...............H4198 AR2219...............H322 BM2....................Benchmark AR2206H.............H4895 AR2208...............Varget AR2209...............H4350 AR2213SC...........H4831 / H4831SC AR2217...............H1000 AR2225...............Retumbo AR2218...............H50BMG AR2217 = H1000 AR2225 = Retumbo AR2218 = H50BMG
  6. We lost both our dogs within 5 weeks of each other too old age. Vet came to our house so as not to cause them any further stress. Cost for us was irrelevant. They were our babies and our house is a lonely place with out them. Then this arrived from a friend via email, made us cry all the harder I feel for you but good on you for being there when Corky needed you the most RAINBOW BRIDGE Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. 7. What about this 5X Magnifier for Eotech , Aimpoint and Red Dot Sights
  8. Many thanks for the replies. I am not looking to spend a fortune so will try to locate a Simmons Pro Diamond. many thanks Mike
  9. Just like the title says guys. I have been looking at a Leupold VX1 1-4x 20 "Turkey Plex" Reticule but wondered what the replacement for above optic is as seem to be out of production. I don't want to spend a lot on an optic if it's not necessary. I know you get what you pay for I already have a VXIII 4.5 - 14 x 40 LR Mike
  10. Yup looks very similar although I've never seen / shot or even held onto a Limcat of any sort. Way down here in the bottom of the world good things never seem to come in a hurry or great numbers. Hell NZ only has 3000 B Endorsed (Pistol Shooters) in total, (all firearms users must hold a current firearms licence or be under the direct supervision of someone who does) and of that number probably 600 shoot IPSC regularly. The numbers are so small my gunsmith says he could never make a full time living from it. However I digress Mike
  11. Difficult to explain but I'll try Directly in front of the barrel at the very begining of the comp there is a hole which leads to a chamber under the comp proper, this in turn leads to two small exit holes in the front of the comp, sooo the some exhaust gas is deflected down under and then up while the rest goes thru the normal top part of the comp. maybe someone else can explain it better. Theory is that gun shoots "flatter" and certainly seems the case in my limited experience. As I said I'll try and post some pic's next week of the comp if anyones interested? A pictures woth 1000 words as they say
  12. Well good news, gun is fixed. Problem was with the Underport Comp system, I asked for a threaded plug so I can clean out the Under Port. This for whatever reason had backed out far enough to contact the guide rod thus causing my problem. Gunsmith managed to get the slide / barrel off. Cut the thread in the comp deeper . Reinstalled the plug with a different type of locking compound. Shortened the guide rod by 2mm And shipped it back. Hope to get it back tomorrow, test it in the weekend and If others still want photos I’ll post some next week. Thanks for all the advice Mike
  13. JPoint was absolutly fantastic but I really wanted it for a saddle mount on my AR. Swapped to C-More for pistol as I got one cheap, Also C-Mores are readilly availible in my country where as JPoints are not so If my C-More fails I can get one tomorrow but have to have a JPoint shipped from the USA 3-4 weeks
  14. Infinity Unfortunatly my gunsmith does not have a website and I doubt you will have heard of him as we both reside outside the USA, way down in New Zealand infact. Complete gun cost $5850 New Zealand Dollars approx, $1NZ=.68US cents. Cost was approx same as STI Grandmaster. As for the comp, Alan tells me its machined from a solid piece of barstock and takes about 2 days to make as he uses a manual mill! Each comp is custom built for each gun and he will customise it further if you want something different. Cost for the comp is $550NZ Dollars + fitting, I'll let you work out the conversion to Real Money but I think maybe approx $350US. As for Pictures I'll Post some but you'll have to wait until the gun comes back in its unjammed and working state!!!! May be next week.
  15. Thanks for all your input guys, I'll let you know how it turns out For the record the gun is in 38SC, has STI frame, barrel and slide, Konig hammer, C&S Sear and Disconnector, Comonoli Guide Rod and Underported Comp designed and Built by the manufacturing Gunsmith. He also built my STD gun which I have since sold to buy this. Heres a pic of the finished article with C-More instead of JPoint, yes it is heavy but I'm not small either!!!!!!!!!!
  16. As we speak its on its way back to it's maker, If I cock the gun I can only move the slide back 2-3mm, far enough to work the disconnector and no further. I have tried what you suggest and cannot get the barrel to "unlock" at all ie no movement. I was really mainly wondering what could cause such a immovable lock up of slide and barrel. Cheers for all the advice though
  17. No Worries happens to all of us especially me. Yes I have tried to gently knock it out with a squib rod but no movement
  18. Just to clarify the stuck case is a fired empty NOT a live round, fired OK and there were 6 holes in the target, equal to number fired. Also last shot was not louder or quieter than the previous 5. I suspect mechanical failure of some sort as primers on all the other fired cases are not showing pressure signs. Load is 9gn 3N38 behind 124gn CMP projectile. Problem is how to get the slide /barrel off to investigate, barrel is not unlocking from slide, not enough movement methinks but cheers for the replys guys appreciated
  19. the *&%&%* gun has only fired 250 rounds, only arrived last week. If this is the case how often does it happen?? Heres a pic but gun now wears a CMORE but dont have pic of it yet
  20. Help. I have a new STI open gun and while training the other night I was doing Bill Drills. When I went to clear the gun after firing the 6th shot I found the gun had not extracted the last empty case. What I’m saying is there were 6 holes in the target and 1 empty case jammed in the gun. There is no way I can retract the slide more than 2.5-3 mm. Ie far enough so the disconnector operates but that’s it. I cannot obviously get the slide back far enough to remove the slide stop. Now if I cock the hammer and then for want of a better description shake the frame the slide moves back and forth the 2-3mm but there appears to be no spring tension on the slide and the barrel stays locked up in the slide. Any Ideas I'll try to post pics later when I get home
  21. Would love to get one unfortunately Beven can't ship intermationally and I know nobody in the US well enough to trust them to ship it to me. Mike
  22. Thanks guys, anyone know who sells the latest model Docter I think is Generation 4 and is prepared to ship outside US Mike
  23. Having a new open gun build in .38 supercomp, I have read the threads re C-Mores and Doctors/JPoints but none address preferance only reliability, what do other shooters prefer & why? Cheers for the replies
  24. Thanks for the Info I purchased a Jpoint for my AR on a saddle mount but never got arround to fitting it. Now I'm have a new open gun and wondered if it was worth fitting on it. I'm gona do it, I don't like the way the C-more type sit so high but was worried how long the slide ride type sight will last with the hammering Cheers Mike
