  1. Good score man! Must have been Estate liquidation sale? Distressed person in panic? Crackhead looking for a score? LOLOL... Why in the world would someone sell that whole package for $800 LOL
  2. OP - Everyone have their own best recipe to make best possible ammo. When reloading 9 Major one particular issue I want to avoid 100% is bullet setback. I use mixed head stamp brass. The only die that I personalty found (i didnt try every die out there) that really makes sure that your case is slightly undersized and sizes closest to the rim is Lee U-Die / EGW Die. I do not use Lee FCD die. I think this die is a band aid to bad reloading practices and will wreck havoc with accuracy on coated bullets and it could possibly resize them post seating. I do not Crimp the bullet in 9mm. You DONT want to crimp it. I use Redding Taper Crmp die (Dillon die works great too) to just remove the bell after bullet is seated.
  3. i had a similar issue. Problem is small metal shavings/debris in the threads of the new RL1100 tool head. Not easy to clean since threads are cut with tighter tolerance and they have some thick lubricant/preservation oil on them too. Clean it off real good if you can with brush and alcohol. then also try to screw in the die from the bottom of the tool head and you will see exactly where it stops. That is where you will need to clean little more. Then put some light oil on it and work it slowly thread in and out without much force. It will go in. No need for another DAA Die. If all fails you might need to knock down the "sharp" edge on the threads on DAA Die (its aluminum)
  4. I am used to my 650... Smooth up, Smooth Down... I dont understand why Dillon thought they had to put an extra safety on high end press. I dont need extra safeguards and ratchets and extra tuning of those components. Ratchet serves no purpose to me. I pay attention to every round I load and dont just blindly pull the handle. Press runs and feels so much smoother without it as far as tuning of new RL1100.... Primer Slide would not run well. Even after some cleaning it felt sluggish. Needed some work to smooth the slide channel machining marks.
  5. Here is how I process mine. .223 Prep Toolhead Casefeed Deprime - Lee Universal with F&FB Pin Holster (takes RCBS pins) SWAGE ONLY - I use F&FB Swage Rod Backer Only (no neck expanding) empty empty RT1500 - trim/100% size empty Lyman M Die - setup to flare the neck ever so slightly for Mr.Bulletfeeder Then dry tumble to remove lube .223 Load Toolhead Casefeed Universal Decapper - to clear possible corn cobb from flash hole. Empty - remove Swage rod from the press Prime Powder Mr.Bullet Feeder Seat Crimp/eject
  6. you have 3 more stations after powder drop same as 1050.
  7. I hope this post will help some of you guys to decide on how high you will want to mount your new press. Mounting directly to bench did not work for me at all. Bottom of the stroke was way too low for standing and too high for sitting. After playing with some height adjustments using some books to space press from the bench I decided on 4" Inline Fabrication Micro mount. I have used Dons mounts in the past with great success and still use it on my 650XL. So here we go. Assembled, drilled holes, mounted, Perfect height for me and I am 6.3 just for reference. Bench top is 1.75 thick if anyone wondering. Purchased it from Uline 10 or so years ago and highly recommended. I have 2 of them and you can select different tops, width and lengths. https://www.uline.com/BL_3853/Industrial-Packing-Tables Bench top sits at 36.5 inch and top of the mount at 40.5. Top of the Handle Stroke with Press Mounted on the riser mount. Bottom of the Handle Stroke with Press Mounted on the riser mount. And some pics with Press mounted.
  8. Inline Fabrication mount is Quality! Now it’s time to get it mounted.
  9. Pivoting point on my 650XL is about 6 inches Below Table Top - I have a full size In-Line Fabrication Mount 9 5/8 Tall. Its comfortable. Pivoting point on RL1100 is about 4 inches Above Table top. So one would think it will be perfect when mounted on the Table Top directly... Not really. Standing straight up, the bottom of the stroke is with my hand completely straight down. So I put press on about 4 inches of books to see how it would feel.... and it feels pretty good! No clue on Serial number.
  10. Thanks brother. I truly didnt mean to rub it in for guys that are still waiting on their presses or anything like that. I dont have any special connections or friends at Dillon just so we are clear. I was hoping that they caught up with all the back orders and back on track. I was envisioning 300 or so RL1100 presses sitting at Dillons assembly plant all ready to go and assembled.... just missing some little part that is holding everything back. And they finally received that part from vendor, assembled all the presses and sent HUGE shipment out.... ? It seems like there is another guy that got his in few days when he ordered his back in Feb. I am not sure what is the trick to this. I couldnt remember if I actually called last year and got on the waiting list. I might have. But even if I did, I didnt hear anything back. Maybe actually placing an order triggered something in the system. Not sure buddy. I hope you get yours soon, it sure is a sweet machine. Let me know if you want to see any close up or details on the press. Ill do my best to help you out.
  11. yes sir. I could not believe it myself. I was planing to Save Up over next couple of months LOL. At first I thought it was April fools joke
  12. My new RL1100 landed yesterday. Man that roller bearing design is smooth indexing and new case feeder is FIRE! New tool head that comes with press is very nice quality compared to 1050. Dont know how to tell, but it looks billet instead of cast. Tore it all down, tuned it up, removed ratchet and its ready to roll! Only problem it is way to low on bottom stroke. My bench is 36.5 tall at table top and I am 6.3. My 650 is mounted on 9in Inline Fabrication mount and is perfect. So 4 inch mount on its way. For now here is some eye candy and some close ups.
  13. Love mine! Been shooting Open Minor in USPSA while waiting for our 3Gun Matches to start.
  14. yes sir. Open minor. Super fun. Great warm up for Multigun Season
  15. I experimented with multiple loads from 125pf all the way up to 152pf. TO ME. Erebus feels sluggish with 125-130pf loads. But... I was shooting Chaos 9Major for two seasons and everything now feels slow. Erebus really starts to shine at 140pf +. It flattens out, cycles fast. At 150pf feels very fast, but requires a pretty firm grip. I have settled at 142pf for the final load for my Erebus. Feels like you are cheating. Soft, Fast, Very predictable Dot movement. My Load Data for 142pf --- 5.4gr of CFE-P under MG CMJ 124gr bullet with CCI400 Rifle Primer with OAL of 1.165
  16. Tiny window, Dim reticle, Go with SRO 5MOA and dont look back.
  17. SRO on both Open Guns. No problems.
  18. I use 20 yd zero as well. But I shoot 3 gun primarily. Works same in USPSA too. Just have to know your hold overs.
  19. I think you will get covered and they will make it right. I was thinking about this issue and the reason why it wouldnt lock up completely on first round. Did you notice any abnormal wear on locking lugs on barrel or slide? Are they by chance rounded off or have excessive wear? If I was you, I would be very very curious to find out in details what was wrong once they figure it out.
  20. new owner here. absolutely love mine! (not first Atlas gun) Its Fast. Its Light. 142PF-148PF is very sweet !!!
  21. I was told that it is at its best around 140-150PF I will be load developing and testing as soon as mine arrives in a few weeks.
