    SP01 SAO

So in your view just a trigger shoe change is doable at first? The CZUB trigger might be a bit pricey by the time I get it to the states.

    SP01 SAO

I just purchased a SP01 manual safety version and don't really like the curved trigger or am very partial to the DA. Being on a bit of a budget right now, would just replacing the trigger with a CZ Custom or CJW SA trigger by itself be a doable first step? I'm a bit confused on this. Are other parts necessary from the beginning? Can I do just the trigger and then add or delete parts as I'm able?
  3. I was foolin' around with my M1 this morning, and it looks like unless you're running a pistol grip, there is no way this thing would be useful. Since most, if not all, are not running pistol grips in 3gun, hand placement makes this safety un-reachable with the thumb.
  4. Check this new item out. Looks like it might be helpful. What do you guys think? https://www.s2-usa.com/products/benelli-safety-selector-switch
  5. Using a RCBS Pro 2000. I'm also using a Glock 6 lb striker spring. I get about 1 misfire out of a 250 rounds with WW, and about 1 out of 150 with CCI.
  6. I've had striker energy issues with my reloads and CCI's, even with a more robust striker spring. Works perfect with Fed's. Did you do anything to keep striker energy up?
  7. I've heard that if you have a budget, that is, you can't blow a G and up for a scope. Go for better glass over magnification. I've been looking at a Steiner P4xi over something with a 6X. Is that how you guys see it? Well, I looked at the thread right below this one, and II think i have my answer.
  8. Well I ordered the parts from Midwestgunworks. I'll more than likely send it to Jeff at C Rum. Really good rep and prices.
  9. I have to have a new ejector housing installed in my M1 S90, and it takes this tiny rivet to secure it. It doesn't look like something I can do. In fact, setting the rivet looks like something for someone who really knows what they're doing. Any recommends for this?
  10. Spend some time CAREFULLY masking what you want to cut. After studying what you think you want to cut, remask if necessary. Don't rush. I rough Dremeled, and then used files, and sandpaper, then buffed it out with the Dremel. P.S....I studied a bunch of pictures and videos of what other guys did before I settled on what I wanted to do.
  11. I also added the the Limbsaver Airtech to my M1, it made a big difference in recoil. How much difference did the comb pad make? And what thickness did you get?
  12. Just be careful if you happen to live in one of the restricted states I live in Georgia these days. I moved from CA about 2 years ago. There's no restriction on tube magazine capacities in CA. Just putting it out there. Yet another spot where CA has it better than NJ in terms of gun laws. Amazing. Not too sure about that. The way I read PC 16740, the only tubular magazines that are exempt from the 10 round maximum are tubular magazines affixed to 22 caliber and lever action rifles. I could be wrong At this present time it's not illegal to "possess" a hi cap magazine in Ca. Come July 1, 2017 things get real dicey, real unpleasant.
  13. Can you show exactly where you polished? I'm having the same problems. Thanks Nick Jason is going to fill us in on this soon, he was really busy.
  14. I had the barrel off my M1 getting ready for a port job, and noticed that the ejector housing has a crack front to back around the small roll pin toward the rear of the gun. The housing is still seemingly tight but for how long, who knows. Has anyone dealt with this issue? Midway has the housing, but that front roll pin? looks like trouble.
  15. I assumed since their website was still up that they were still in biz, I guess not.
  16. They are not out of biz.....their new website is rhinoarms.com. For your rails, look under accessories.
  17. About 1:50 into the first SKO video they mention it has screw in chokes. Wonder if having the top rail attached to the barrel is going to do anything to change slug zero after a few mags. Thanks, missed that.
  18. I was noticing that none of shotguns look like they have interchangeable chokes. Maybe I'm just being premature on this, but it seems like something very needful especially with the short barrels they're using. Also $999 is a whole lot more doable than $2695.
  19. They are really new. Did you see the 56 ft field of view at 1x at 100 yds? That's not so good.
  20. DeLeon is your basic Jersey D bag. A complete and dangerous fool.
  21. I cut a piece of similar grip tape and super glued (gel variety) it to the Talon grip tape over the seam. I was generous with the glue. So far, and it's been well over a year, no problems.
  22. Is there anyone using these, and what do you think. I'm finally getting around to switching over to this type of shotgun loading and thought these might be good for progressing from duals to quads. Also thought these might work well for switching between myself (left handed) to my son (right handed) in a match by having them on a separate belt and just flipping it over. http://www.taccom3g.com/12up-duelin-deuce.html
  23. No on the front sight base. It is a pencil profile with a .625 gasblock. Mine was under gassed, I had to drill it out a little to get it to run. I am running a full mass system. A bit of a concern here. My first outing mine short stroked about 6 times out of 75 rds. I was using a new bolt with new rings and the BCG was a bit stiff. I'm hoping it will work in. What did you open the port to just in case.
  24. I've also been using Bayou bullets in my M&P and Glock34 (stock barrel) for a few years now. No leading at all and very little smoke. I use to use Bear Creek and would never go back to them. The difference between the 2 is huge IMO.
