Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I tried calling montana gold's # to order bullets and the # is not good. Does anyone have a current phone number?
  2. After 10 years of shooting Limited and finally making M Class, I'm going to give production a try. I just purchased a G34. From what I've read here, it appears I can modify the sights to Dawson Fiber Optic. Can someone who really KNOWS confirm this?
  3. I bought one about 4 years ago on sale for 19.95. Couldn't believe the improvement over pick up tubes. I threw away the tube they sent with the unit and use dillion tubes. It went belly up last year, and Midway didn't have them in stock at the time. I couldn't bear to go back to picking primers up one by one. My work around is to place the base of the handle on my empty tumbler. It works great. I timed it once using this approach and found that I could load 700 primers in 6 minutes. I've never had an upside down primer and I've loaded at least 60,000 with it. That kind of problem may be due to not having the primer container tighltly closed.
  4. What an experience! Manny put on an incredible class. I thought I was going to have to cancel the whole thing because I couldn't find eight people by July 18th. Fortunately, at the last possible moment, six really motivated shooters decided it was worth spending a few extra dollars to attend a smaller class. Thanks go to Craig O, Mark W, Joe M, Dick L and Dave B to make the class happen. I'll leave it to them if they want to chime in. I picked Manny up at the Boise airport Friday afternoon and dropped him off for his return flight Monday morning. I pestered the hell out of him with all kinds of silly questions for 3 days, and he never once told me to shut up! It felt a little like Christmas for a whole weekend. Saturday night we all stayed at my house. We didn't get back from the range until 7:00 p.m. but Manny was willing to stay until as long as we wanted. Frankly, we had enough. Even though it was 100 degrees on Saturday, 103 on Sunday and he was battling a bad back, Manny stayed the course by giving everyone lots of individual attention in the hot sun. While 3 of us got to reload mages in the shade, Manny stayed in the hot sun for the next group all damn day! I won't give out all of Manny's super secret tips, but suffice it to say that everyone felt the class was worth every penny. We spent lots of time on the "fundamentals". Things like grip, draw, trigger prep...things we all know right? I admit being slightly unnerved by the realization that despite recently achieving master class (if the Ohio classification calculator holds), I didn't know how to shoot...thanks a lot Manny. I look forward to the next time I have the opportunity to take a Manny Bragg class. If one ever comes up in your area of the woods, don't pass it up!
  5. Thanks to smokshwn there are now only 2 slots remaining for Manny's class in Boise! Send your check soon if you want in. My offer for free lodging still stands.
  6. It is a great deal! Right now we have 1 GM, 2 A Class shooters, and 2 fairly new shooters confirmed. A friend of mine who is an M class shooter is trying to make arrangements to come as well. Manny was telling me that his class is set up so shooters advance through the training at their own pace, and it is not uncommon to have a range of abilities within the group. I have spent a considerable amount of time trying to get this class to happen, and have been a bit dissappointed in the lack of interest within the Boise area and territory within 5 hours of Boise. There are quite a few clubs within that distance, but I think trying to schedule a class in the middle of the summer is difficult. It's starting to look like it may not happen despite offering free lodging. But I won't give up until the last possible date! (July 18th)
  7. My home in Eagle, Idaho (a suburb of Boise) which is about 20 minutes from the Emmet range where the class will be held. My wife and daughter are gone that weekend and I have 4 beds and 2 couches. So far, 3 of us will be staying here.
  8. Update: As of today, I now have 5 slots paid in full. Several others are interested, but are procrastinating getting a check to me. So, the bottom line is that 3 slots are still available. Free lodging is available for those attending from outside of Boise.
  9. As of today (7/5/07) we have 3 slots remaining for Manny's class scheduled for July 21st and 22nd in Emmett, Idaho. (20 minutes from Boise) Don’t procrastinate if you want in, as I will reserve slots to those who pay first without playing favorites. The details once again: Location: Emmett Rod and Gun Club Limited to 8 students Number of Rounds: 1,500 Start time: Saturday, July 21st at 8:00 a.m. End time: Sunday, July 22nd at 5:00 p.m. We will be shooting the Sunday USPSA match together as a squad, then resuming class until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Payment must be received by July 18th at the absolute latest, and the class must be filled by that date to assure Manny’s attendance.
