  1. I have both. I have a 5" 625-2 (hammer mounted pin) original "Model of 1989" etched in the side of the barrel, and the JM model. The 5" is my favorite out of the 625 models. The JM is cool, but you're right; there's just something about that extra inch on the barrel. The gun is just straight up cool. I do plan on purchasing another "Model of 1989". I must say though, it's a challenge to shoot well. Unless you use Federal primers and load to perfect specs, you won't be able to get the hammer weight below 5lbs; otherwise you get a lot of light strikes. But that's part of the charm inho. When you struggle to shoot it well and accurately, it only serves to build your fundamentals in shooting your other platforms well. In other words, after spending 2 weeks just shooting my revos 625s, it make my shooting my 1911s and Glocks, and any DA/SA style guns a breeze to shoot. Anyways, that's all a side tangent. But if you're trying to decide on whether you should purchase it or not, I say go for it!! 100% Here's a pic of my top 3 faves. The 625-2 model of 1989 is on the far right. Cheers. 2. Here's a review of that very model in 10mm. https://www.google.com/amp/amp.dailycaller.com/2018/01/31/gun-test-eaa-10mm-witness-p-match/#ampshare=http://dailycaller.com/2018/01/31/gun-test-eaa-10mm-witness-p-match/ Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  3. Great to hear! I wonder if they're starting to change their tune since IFG is now starting to sell Tanfos again, with more models on the way. EAA has such a bad reputation for customer service, and now they're not the only game town now. Hopefully we hear more positive stories in the future. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks for the info, guys! Sorry, my Tapatalk app didn't notify me of a reply on this question. Just noticed it now. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  5. Anybody ever chrono'd Winchester 9mm 124gr NATO out of their Stock 2s? Shot a box of it the other day and it was knocking down steel no problem. I know NATO rounds run a little hotter than regular Luger rounds, so was curious what the PF was out of our Stock 2s with the 4.5 inch barrel. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  6. Small frames, as I understand it are designed to only shoot 9mm, 40s&w, and 45acp... I think. I read it somewhere. But not 38 super or 10mm. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  7. Issue resolved years ago. No longer a problem. New Tanfo large frames are made to withstand continuous 10mm firing. The Stock 2s are all built on the same frame for all common pistol calibers from 9mm, 38 super, 40s&w, 45acp, 10mm. To my knowledge I haven't heard of any cracking in recent years. 8. Here's another link (with pictures) showing the minor differences between Large and Small frame Tanfos. http://forums.brianenos.com/index.php?/topic/199068-large-frame-or-small-frame? Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  9. Awesome! Teaser photos would be awesome too! Oh, and I meant hats off to IFG not IGA, lol. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  10. That's exciting news! So when you say "black framed", do you mean the frame will be black only and the slide will still be chromed? Either way, I think the black change up would be nice. Also, I think it's a good idea to make it the small frame, should make it easier to fit inside the IDPA box. That's probably why they did that. The original LimPro seemed to be the "go-to gun" for us Tanfo peeps when it came IDPA. But suddenly they stopped being available :-( But as I understand it, the differences between the Large and Small frame are very minut. But I'm glad they're going to produce it as a "small frame." Was kind of sad when Stock 2s small frame stopped being available to us a few years back. Hats off to IGA. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
