  1. Congratulations on the GM again!! Nice work!! I hope to make it back to CO and shoot a match with you again yet this year.
  2. I really like the looks of the odin works for the new frontier lowers and we may try for something closer to it or a combination.
  3. Here is a pic of the ones currently being made for the PSA lowers. I am guessing it will be a similar design.
  4. The GMR-13 lower? Not that I know of but mine is soon getting sent off to use as a mold to have them made as well as magwells. I will make a post here as well as on FB pages when I get it back.
  5. I have been using the wolf gold 55gr for 3gun for about 3k rounds now. Price is he to beat at $290-$309 shipped for 1k. It groups really well at 200yrds for me and my rifle. This have been my go to rifle ammo lately but always used the federal xm193 before that with very similar results.
  6. I was curious of those pics also but couldn't see them. Also a little curious how the OP likes his gun now and what all he did to it finally.
  7. That was my first aftermarket trigger when I started shooting 3gun. It's far better than a mil-spec but it didn't take me long to realize there are many more much better triggers out there for what I wanted it for. The CMC is a fantastic trigger and probably the best $4$ spent on one. Many like the AR gold but I chose to run the rise armament 535 and couple be happier with it. Built a new rifle this year and the trigger was one part I didn't even put thought into and got a 2nd 535.
  8. Mill Creek is a really nice range. Set up really well and has several organized monthly shoots. I have shot a few of their monthly 3gun matches is all but the range overall is impressive.
  9. That is my reason for shooting USPSA. I don't even have a member # and didn't really have a desire for one for the last several years. After taking a good class with a GM I got a little more serious about my pistol skills and have thought about getting a # just to have one and know where I rank but I don't have any anticipation of moving from limited minor so long as 3gun is my main game. So just play in limited minor and try only shooting "A holes" ?
  10. I don't know if your on FB or if he is on here but Dillen Easly has been running the new STI mags pretty hard in 3gun with good success. If your on Facebook look him up or his shooter page. He posted about them just a month ago or so.
  11. Smarter guys than me will respond I am sure but 4500 is probably close to life span expecially in a major gun. I just got a new CK Arms limited thunder 9mm last month with about 500 thru it now and you can ride the slide all the way to the last 1/8" and it will still go into battery easily. I would remove the spring and make sure the slide is smooth all the way, double check the slide where the disconnector engages, and replace the recoil spring. I was curious what # spring is in my gun and was going to send a message and ask.
  12. My new favorite handguard is the UM tactical. Extremely lightweight! I put one on my new 3gun rifle at the beginning of the year and like it more each time I shoot it.
  13. I am curious what replies you get myself. I wan to do the same. I shoot my stand 1 armory chubbies in it now but my justification for buying it was I have a few thousand rounds of factory 115gr I want to shoot up but the chubbies are much much much nicer to shoot at this point. I have a JP GMR-13 and was going to try the different weights in it but I got a deal on a MBX buffer I will be trying. I checked out the taccom buffer at the pandemic match last month and it is definitely worth looking it. Taccom and MBX are doing great things for the PCC's
  14. I recently got a pair of pivothead video glasses for first shooter view. Again they are not great to analyze performance but they make cool shooting and hunting videos
  15. Like said above shooter view video isn't worth much to analyze your performance. But they do make cool videos. I used a GoPro with the head strap and it was ok. I simce got a pair of pivothead video glasses and they are awesome!!! They make really cool hunting footage as well.
  16. I couldn't find one for my daughter and had the local canvas/upholstery shop cut one down for me.
  17. That's what I thought. I am no GM or even close but I would say it's time to take a class with one. A good 1on1 pistol class with a well recognized forum GM was the best $ I ever spent on my shooting game. You would smoke me so I can't be much more help than that. LOL
  18. Sportsman's guide and SG ammo get most of my rifle ammo money. I have been using the wolf gold 55gr 223 for 3gun for a few thousand rounds at about $309 or less now per 1k. If you shoot competitive stand 1 armory has 9mm "chubbies" that are fantastic for $203 per 1k. Minimum PF and excellent quality. I have been thru 6k of those with 0 issues. Also ammoseek.com as mentioned is a good place to find great deals sometimes.
  19. I was looking hard at the DVC 3gun myself a month ago. I looked at just a few $$ more into the CK Arms pistols and am so happy I did. I got a limited thunder with steel grip for about $200 more than the DVC. They are more less a custom fit/built gun you just can't choose any options but they have the main ones covered. Shooters connection still has $200 off their old inventory on a few models you might want to check out. Also a few floating around here in the classifieds.
  20. I just got a new CK Arms limited thunder with steel grip about a month ago. Shot my first match with it Saturday. It now has about 500 flawless rounds thru it and a very nice and solid shooting pistol. This is my 3rd 2011 and my first brand new one and I think it will be a excellent gun for the $$ spent.
  21. I have the same problem. I know I am not doing it in dry fire but I notice it in my videos everytime. Not as bad as it used to be but I do still do it.
  22. I did a search here and other places as well but didn't find any real solid answers. I am wanting to put the longest flat trigger I can into my new 2011. I have used the STI gunsmith blank in the past. I am liking the looks of X-line Vario triggers like pictured which the shoe is adjustable to the bow to change the LOP. I want to know what really is the longest flat trigger available for the 2011. I just ordered a X-line since they were finally in stock at Atlas Gunworks to try. I wanted the SVI with interchangeable shoes but have been told they are not as long as gunsmith blank. So what is your favorite flat 2011 trigger? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mike
  23. I am located MD for our monthly club 3gun matches and setup help is the worst part of it all. 5% of the people do 95% of the work. It's frustrating and we have tried to get others to help. We called off the match last month when the 3 of us that showed up were just burned out! I posted on our FB page that this is a volunteer sport and without volunteers there will be no sport. Sucked!!! I am glad this thread got brought back to life and curious to hear other ideas and opinions. I like the idea of discounted or free match fees I also agree that when some find out we are shooting for "free" what little help they give during the match will be less and more people heading for the gate before teardown is even started.
  24. Good thing it's not in the news probably. The gun haters would be saying how bad competition shooting is and using it for leverage for their stupid agendas. I hadn't heard about it and hope he recovers soon!
