  1. Had a great time! I completely choked on Rimfire rifle and pistol. Worst match I have ever shot but I managed to pull out a top 10 in PCC. I think this was an eye opener on what I need to focus on for the next 3 T2's. Dave ran a very well, fine tuned match and I enjoyed having PSA sponsor.
  2. I use Eley Force and Eley Contact almost exclusively at matches. I just came back from PA and the rifle and pistol was ran twice by me and my son. Not 1 ammo issue. I choked but the gun did not. The extra cost is worth it at a match with so much on the line.
  3. They break too. I have tried several and can't seem to find a combo that prevents it. For now, I just keep spares. I recently was given a few Wilson tool steel one's to try but the profile of the pin is too large and it will not fit the Faxon BCG. I am going to see if it will work in the UMTactical or ADK when I have a chance.
  4. If you need one and still do not have one message me. I keep them with me.
  5. I am on #6 in different bolts, pin and spring configurations. At the moment I am using a SD-3G FCG / Faxon Gen.2 BCG / JP Spring and Titanium FP. The latest one was this Saturday. When I got home from our local match and went to field strip it for PA, the pin fell out in two pieces. Normally I break the tip. I have no idea when it broke but I ran a pretty good match with it and luckily did not have any issues. I am convinced it is my trigger at this point because it is the only common component. I plan on changing it out after the East Coast Steel Nationals as I will have a little time before the next major.
  6. Friday RFRO and PCCO My Son is RFPO Saturday RFPO My Son is Open
  7. Who all is going? This is my first one so be gentle! I am bribing the prize tables with some PCC's so I hope that helps. Good luck all!
  8. If it continues, message me your order number or email. The barrel was revised and as you stated will run great in it's stock configuration. Just about every issue that we see come back recently pertains to either too light or too heavy buffering. We went through several variants of weights and springs before we went with what it actually ships with and we know it is reliable in that configuration.
  9. I use the Magpul CTR stock and MBx Fang.
  10. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=483309048703367&id=394052347629038&fref=gc&dti=1058615810861279&hc_location=ufi 3 minute mark. I have been around shooting sports for years. I have shot with some of the best there is. To me, this was a burst. In a USPSA match, if this would have happened with an open gun, it would have had the same result. I don't know how else to put it. Unfortunately, now there is a target on you and every match you go to you will be subject to review. Whatever it is, if it is mechanical, I would fix it. If you really are that fast with a PCC ( which boarders on full auto fast) then God bless you as you have a long career ahead of you. I do mostly Steel Challenge and can pull a trigger pretty quick as do many of the top shooters in the sport but I have never heard anyone that can pull one that fast. JM included.
  11. I was curious if this was a topic of conversation on here. It has turned into a nightmare on Facebook. I was not there and can only give you information based on seeing the video and talking to several parties. I know the RM very well along with several of the big named guys who were at the match. The DQ was handed down because they notified him multiple times on multiple stages that his gun was bursting (from what I was told). I heard the video. It was a burst. He had 24 hours to correct the problem. He didn't. The next day, same issue. Gun was taken to be looked at and they could replicate the issue with adjusting trigger control. It dumped a mag full auto. Of course there are two sides to every story but that pretty much sums it up. Most of the guys there agreed from what I have heard but the rest of the community, not so much. I guess the kid has a cult following because people get DQ'd all the time at matches and it doesn't cause controversy. I would say all of the top shooters there were 3 gun guys and I expected most of them would be. The guy who did the DQ is a very well known shooter, is one of the top 3 gunners and has MD'd more matches than most folks have shot. I trust his word.
  12. Most of these bolts are shared manufactures. Very few of these shops have the resources to design and cut their own bolts. Fortunately, I have had the opportunity to see a good number of them. The PSA bolt is a great utility bolt. It's limitation is the extractor and the rear weight. The extractor, if not seated properly will extend the face and bounce on the barrel causing premature breakage. The rear weight is a limitation because you can't run any sort of captured recoil spring. I have brought this up and there is a new design in the works. I hate the gas key being screwed in too ( like most of them do ) and there is one being designed now that is a solid body with removable weight. In the defense of the breaking gas key saga, many cases were due to improper buffering. Guys would get parts, put them all together and not really knowing the difference, use a carbine spring and light buffer. It is just a 9mm right? This caused the bolt to extend too deep into the buffer tube and bang on the lower. Over time, the screws would vibrate loose, the bolt would keep battering and then they would shear. I can't blame the users. The industry should do a better job informing folks but in their defense this market came on so quick I think sometimes they didn't know either. ADK Arms has one that has the removable weight and had the weaker extractor. The finish was great and the bolt was solid. The issue I had with it was that the fluid used in the coating process was not flushed properly and penetrated the gas key screws. It weakened them and caused premature breakage. The firing pins early on were weak so after the first batch or so they used a stronger tool steel and the issue went away. They also started coating separate and then installing the key from what I was told. Faxon Gen 1 was great. The one piece design was much stronger. The gas key was gone however they used the same 1911 style extractor. I had early firing pin issues with them but they quickly resolved it. The Gen 2 Faxon bolt used the more traditional AR style extractor which works great. It eliminated all the issues above BUT they went back to the 2 piece design. I have used both, they both have a lot of rounds through them and they work well. The 2 also has a much stronger firing pin. I have not had one of those break. UM Tactical has a great bolt as well. It is very similar to the Faxon. The finish is great and it used the AR style extractor with removable gas key. This bolt was tested during the design phase of the LeadStar Barrage PCC and I hate to know how many rounds ran through it. They offer a fancy NiB BCG now that I am waiting to get my hands on. They are great folks to deal with. As a matter of fact, all of these companies are great to work with. I have not used JP or QC10. Right now, in my personal PCC, I am using the UM Tactical. I have 4 matches and maybe half a dozen practice sessions through it. No issues at all. The next few weeks as I get ready to go to the East Coast Steel Nationals, I will really hammer on it. If something happens I will update this post. All the ones listed above are good bolts. Hope this helps at least on a few of them anyway... It seems like everyday someone is posting another variant of a 9mm BCG.
  13. If it is still broken, send me a message.
  14. What do you shoot? For me, a Steel Challenge load differs from a USPSA or PCC style match. I will say, I have started shoting Clean Shot and have been very impressed with how well it burns and how clean it is.
  15. Have you checked the strike surface of the firing pin? Pay close attention and see if it is mushroomed. It will swell over time due to the impact of the 24c. If so and there is a tolerance fluctuation in the bolt, it will light strike. I know it may sound crazy but I have gotten the opportunity to play with a lot of parts together. Even a small fluctuation can cause this. I actually had some Ti pins made to stop this. Just a thought. Take your caliper and measure the strike surface in relation to the rest of the pin before the stop.
  16. I sent you a message. Respond back when you get it.
  17. Carbine with 3.0 grains of Clean Shot under a 147 for SC. SRS-9 for factory style loads. You can buy the system and then add the 9mm weight so that you can build your recoil setup to your style of shooting. It takes 2 minutes to adjust and I do not run the buffer retainer. 18. It looks like you are on the right path. Not too shabby...
  19. Not sure if anyone has brought it up or not but I have been very happy with the Armaspec 9mm SRS : http://armaspec.com/product/stealth-recoil-spring/ I have had very good luck with them.
  20. There should be no need to ream the chamber if it has the etching. Having it touch the rifling on a heavier bullet at longer lengths isn't an issue unless it has an issue feeding or ejecting on a loaded round. If you still have issues with feeding and ejecting please let me know. We have not had any complaints that I am aware of on this version as of yet that was not resolved. A good portion of the issues were improper weighted buffer systems.
  21. Yes. It is light, swings well has the built-in ramp and functional LRBHO. It runs really well and there was a lot of time put in to developing it.
  22. I sent you a message but I shoot Hornady 147 grn RNBT's at 1.155 in mine with no issue. It may not drop free from a plunk test but you should not have any issue unloading a live round like before. The issue was the chamber was short and the chamfer was deep and not wide enough. I sent you my contatct information. Go run it through its paces and if you have any issues, let me know.
  23. Have you tried to unload on a loaded round? Some bullets will fit snug but will not stick like before. You do not want there to be a huge free bore there. I shoot 147Grn RNBT Hornadys to 1.150 / 1.155 without issue. We also tested it with Hornady Critical Defense 147's with XTP which have trouble at times feeding in Glock mags. We have replaced almost 100 so far without issue. Try it and see what you think. Any issues at all, hit me at chad.wylie@palmettostatearmory.com

Thanks Chad. I appreciate the support.

I will run it through its paces this weekend and report back in private messaging.

how wet does the bolt like to be? I usually use FP-10 or Hoppes as a lube.
